With her mother German and father African American, she has always been a multi-cultured girl seasoned with music from around the world. At the tender age of 13 she joined an English singing group and began to make a career out of her hopeful talents. After practicing to Enya, Sting, and Nina Simone, she was able to form an appreciation for great, lyrically engaging music, which led her to embark on her journey as a solo artist. Orelia Has Orchestra’s unique sound began to take shape.
Although born in America, Orelia has seen a lot of the world and has taken in its opulence along with its tragedies. Her observation of life and love through music was best developed in Atlanta, Georgia and Los Angeles, California. She was given the opportunity to work with Platinum producers Dion Rambo, Sunny Levine, and Fish Herring. They all shared an unusual vision for the new project, which was laying Orelia’s innocent vocals over an engaging mix of bright yet emotional strings, ambient undertones, and theatrical changes creating songs perfect for live performances.
Orelia Has Orchestra works hard to create a Cirque du Soleil meets U2, energetic performance. She plans on bringing such an experience to major cities all around the world.
