She released her full first full-length solo album, Invisible Ones, on August 23rd, 2005. A rockier affair than the measured etheriality of Azure Ray, or Maria Taylor's first solo album, it yielded the single Bloodline which bears a passing resemblance to Belly.
From the touring band she formed to promote Invisible Ones arose Art in Manila, who have so far released one album, Set the Woods on Fire.
The most recent of her many projects is O+S, a collaboration with longtime friend Cedric LeMoyne (aka Scalpelist) from the band Remy Zero, which has so far yielded one self-titled album.
In 2009 Orenda released her second solo album, the acoustic Ask The Night. In places the album echoes some of Azure Ray's starker pieces, such as Raining in Athens, foregrounding Fink's distinctive banjo playing and invoking the traditional soundscape of the American South.
Orenda is married to Todd Fink (formerly Todd Baechle) of The Faint, another Saddle Creek band.

Easter Island
Orenda Fink Lyrics

From the dishes you smashed, I knew you would
Standing there helpless, like a child
The fight's over, and you won
But against who? There's no one there now
But me and you
I put you to bed
And close the door, but there's still war
The demons they hover
Your father, mother
The things they did to you
Like no other
Over the years, have been forgotten
But not in your heart and
It's still fighting
On Easter Island
High low, high low
I'll search that stretch
Come back home
From Easter Island
Come back home
From Easter Island
The lyrics of the song “Easter Island” by Orenda Fink conveys several intense emotions and feelings of a person's inner turmoil. It talks about a person's past traumas and how they continue to haunt them despite being forgotten by others around. The song begins with a woman stepping on shards of glass that cut her foot, and the singer knew she would be the one to end up smashing dishes. It is evident that the woman is hurt and struggling with her emotions, portrayed by the line "Standing there helpless, like a child." The fight seems to be concluded, but the lyrics hint that it isn't over yet, "But against who? There's no one there now, but me and you."
The next verse of the song takes a more melancholic approach with the lyrics exploring the past traumas that continue to haunt the person. The demons of the woman's past are brought to life and represented by her father and mother, and the things they did to her are still fresh in her heart, making it impossible for her to forget. The internal fight that she is battling is still present, as highlighted in the line, "And it’s still fighting on Easter Island." In contrast to the upbeat and energetic rhythm of the song, the lyrics delve deep into the turmoil that someone experiences despite seeming content on the outside.
Overall, "Easter Island" is an emotional exploration of the inner struggles that people face and the impact of past traumas. It serves as a reminder that not all wars are visible and that everyone has their battles to fight.
