She released her full first full-length solo album, Invisible Ones, on August 23rd, 2005. A rockier affair than the measured etheriality of Azure Ray, or Maria Taylor's first solo album, it yielded the single Bloodline which bears a passing resemblance to Belly.
From the touring band she formed to promote Invisible Ones arose Art in Manila, who have so far released one album, Set the Woods on Fire.
The most recent of her many projects is O+S, a collaboration with longtime friend Cedric LeMoyne (aka Scalpelist) from the band Remy Zero, which has so far yielded one self-titled album.
In 2009 Orenda released her second solo album, the acoustic Ask The Night. In places the album echoes some of Azure Ray's starker pieces, such as Raining in Athens, foregrounding Fink's distinctive banjo playing and invoking the traditional soundscape of the American South.
Orenda is married to Todd Fink (formerly Todd Baechle) of The Faint, another Saddle Creek band.

Orenda Fink Lyrics

I remember when you were mine
We'd walk through the fields
Took pictures in heels
But those were some simpler times
But then love came along
The love of a man that didn't belong
Sister, oh sister
He tried to tear us apart
'Cause together, we're strong
But alone we are weak
And that's how he likes his hearts
But now that he is gone
We're back to laughing all night long
All night long
Sister, oh sister
I remember when we would shine
We're no longer two against the world
But at least we are on the same side
In "Sister," Orenda Fink reflects on a relationship with a sister who she used to be inseparable with. They would walk through fields and take pictures in heels during simpler times, until love and a man came along. This man tried to tear them apart and wanted them to be weak and alone, but now that he is gone they are back to laughing all night long. Fink remembers how they used to shine together, and while they are no longer just two against the world, they are still on the same side. This song is about the bond between sisters and how it can withstand even the most difficult of situations, and ultimately the strength of sisterhood will prevail.
