I've seen a lot of versions of this, and I think this is by far the best. It isn't the loudest, and I get the impression that later versions may have wanted to 'outdo' the original. Yet this is the only version that really manages to capture what this is a parody of. Once you start playing up that Katie gets angry, you're losing sight of the idea that she is basically a Sesame Street character, and a schoolteacher at that, out of her water.

I finally saw this play live at Mercury Theater yesterday in Chicago. I have seen "The Internet is For Porn" sketch here on YouTube and I laugh every time, especially when Trekkie gives that look after Kate tells him normal people do not look at porn. I literally could not wait for this song to be performed, and when it was, oh my God, it was even funnier than all the times I've seen it online. After Kate gave her normal people line, Trekkie pointed to a guy in my row and was like, "Dis guy does it every night!" Then he pointed to two others in my row and goes, "Dese two probably do it together!" Oh, the roars of laughter that came from the audience!

I can tell they updated the script since its debut in 2003. Trump is now mentioned in the "For Now" song at the end, and in "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" they mentioned Mexicans "paying for the fucking wall!" I was surprised that they still had the Gary Coleman character. You would think that after he died they would have retired the character out of respect or at least one of the characters ask him, "Aren't you supposed to be dead?" I guess Gary Coleman is alive and well in Avenue Q world!
