Batman and Robin is just an
insult to the franchise,
and was even said to be
the WORST sequel of all time!

But, it got an excellent score by
the composer of Alien 3,
who previously worked on
Batman Forever,
Elliot Goldenthal!

And I have to say,
the soundtrack and original score
are WAY better than the movie!

I think the hate is undeserved. It's just not noir movie about Batman and his ultimate, selfabsorbed confontation that take itself too seriously, with lots of colors, drag and camp on top of everything. But the script is solid (better than previous movie) and every character has enough space and clearly defined motivations. I like it actually.

@onlyone23km The Batman is going to be a huge hit, the same way TDK and Joker were.

Batman vs. Superman didn’t perform well even though it had Batman: b/c most Batman fans don’t want to see Batman working with Wonder Woman in a world with aliens and witches. JL-verse is fine but we need two DC universes happening simultaneously: one, Joker/The Batman, the other, WW/Shazaam/JL.

Batman in his old world, dark, semi-realistic, and gritty, just works better.

@Jiggy Jay dynamics is the sound volume of the music. Going up and down and not set on just one level, like the Hans Zimmer score. If you listen to this one, different instruments take the spot-light every now and then.

Rewatched this movie the other night. It sucks the big one, but the score is indeed fantastic. That Goldenthal put such palpable care and creativity into it is a testament to his professionalism.

I was probably 6 or 7 years old when this movie came out and i had a blast with the music. Even tho i was a little kid, the music of this film got my atention. Now im 29 and i love this Score. The movie is obviously not good but the music is amazing.

In typical Goldenthalian fashion did he deliver a masterpiece soundtrack for a terrible film.
It's really a shame he hasn't gotten the chance to work on many great movies. He would be much more known and beloved than he currently is.
Which is just terrible. He's one of the greatest living artists in my eyes.

I noticed after a while of listening to Zimmer's music for Batman - I felt a bit weary, like I've been sonically bombarded from a musical shouting match. With this 1990s Batman series, I know it's not perfect, but Elliot's music just nails the charm and joy of Batman; you can really hear the nuance of his melodies.

Agreed. But we still have Batman Forever which had most of the same scores to it. And Batmsn Forever is still fun and good movie to watch. Batman & Robin was not so well at all , but as Schummacher was said : Movie was just my atention to entertain ,and he also said his apologies if someone was not happy with this movie. For me Batman & Robin was just ok. But I still love Batman Forever and Tim Burton ones. 🙂

I hate to say this but I would rather watch Batman and Robin ten more times than Batman v Superman, Man of Steel and Zack Synder's Justice League. Why? Because Batman and Robin had somethings that those movies didn't have and that is personalty and good music score.

I absolutely agree. No offence to Batman Begins but I thought the music change was so underwhelming (I did enjoy the redemption theme when Bruce and Rachel reconcile in the last scene) but I still watch the 1989-1997 era of films for their charm and music scores which hasn't been bettered IMO. I still love these films no matter the criticism.
