I recall this song most specifically when it kicked in as the sun started going down outside. This was right after Zobek (narrating) talked about it almost being night time...and the vampires started doing some scary shit when it turns nighttime. Was incredibly creepy.

@TropicalTendencies I couldn't disagree more! I love all the none-battle music in LoS and this is one of my favourites. It has a very grandeur feeling to it, especially around 0:47. I don't normally like vocals in music like this, but Araujo has done an incredible job integrating them. Not sure how you can describe it as pretentious either, especially if you're just listening to the music itself and not as something accompanying some visuals. But, your opinion is yours, I just don't share it :)

I just got this game 2 days ago. I'm on chap 10 and this shit is insane. I love this game. I like Ninja Gaiden 2 more, in terms of combat, but this game presents the whole package:Graphics, music, gameplay, story....its a beatiful game. Lol I don't know if I've ever called a game "beautiful" before. That's the word to best describe it.

@KayneArcheron maybe they're referring cinematic (press button) sequences? In which case yeah they ripped but I think did a better job executing GoW idea. On a different note I feel DMC 1 still is unmatched in making battles feel really fluid. There seemed to be more strategic ways to kill an enemy and they seem to haev more than one vulnerability to exploit.

@MarcSylex DMC and Bayonetta will always be the kings (or queens in Bayo's case) of the genre. Far more options for every fight and faster paced/more fluid combat than GoW.

@jackofnowhere Comparing trivial things isn't stupid in of itself, especially when you can say game X did implemented this feature better than game Y. We all can see the major influences from various games that LoS pulled from. Doesn't make it a bad game just because it did that - but people will always compare things to each other. It's just human nature.

This music made me feel like the developers wanted not to continue Castlevania, but improve it. And believe me, the story of the series is one of tired, repeating themes and a neverending stream of emo bullshit. This game shows that it can be made fresh and beautiful, like Pan's Labyrinth as opposed to Alice in Wonderland.

@nsmadsen I hate when people say "OMG THIS COPIED GOD OF WAR" more than anything. Somehow people forget that DMC basically invented the 3D action genre as we know it and somehow think God of War did it.

Like I said on another music of LoS it's pretty boring, very pompous and pretentious and nothing comes out of these songs, for most of them. Have the impression of watchin a big production movie, I prefered the old catchy themes !

The music from this castlevania hm.. wel orchestra maybe god but that is not the old castlevania feeling from the past the music was from Michiru Yamane and not so no name composer i miss the god old gothic musik like in a church :-) that was that what i like in catslevania this musik is boring there i can here two steps from hell its the same
