These lyrics are from the song Partisanen by the Swedish singer-songwriter Ossler. In the song, the singer is a part of a group that crossed the border and had to surrender. However, the singer couldn't let go and took his weapon and disappeared. He has changed his name several times and lost his family, but he still has some friends left. They were given shelter by a woman for a night, but soldiers found them, and the woman died. Now, there are only three men left, and the singer is the only one who is still fighting. He must hold out at the border until the liberation arrives.
The song is all about the struggle and fight for freedom. It portrays how the singer is determined to fight against the oppressors, but at the same time, he has lost everything he loved. The lyrics also describe how the singer was given hope by the woman who sheltered them, but unfortunately, she died without saying a word.
