Here's a clue: If you want to know where the ever-evolving OutKast will go on a subsequent release, peep the last track from the previous album. True to form, OutKast peers down the wormhole, offering a preview of the Stankonia to come with a song driven by electric guitar wails, fuzzy amp feedback, and a lyrical challenge to elevate issued to all those closed-minded MCs.
Andre 3000: I remember reading about human beings and how if everybody is in the same place, humanity can go to another dimension. And when I'm saying that and recording that - "You are now entering the fifth dimension of ascension/Our only mission is to take you high" - that's what I'm thinking. I was just trying to make the impossible out of music, make people rise in some kind of way.
Rico Wade: Dre did that beat, I remember that being the complete shit. But that's when they had started messing with them guitars and they might've just kept putting them motherfuckers on there. A lotta them songs got that extra "waawaahaa," like they were just overcompensating. [laughs] That's what I remember. Then when you get to the next album, they had mastered using the musicians.
Tomi Martin (guitarist): "Chonkyfire" was actually a last minute decision of Dre's as far as I remember. When I went to Southern Tracks to cut the song, there was a rare Fender amp that I was stoked about using. So Dre told me to go in the booth and do whatever I wanted. The track was already killer so it was really easy to just get a great tone and wail.
Andre 3000: Everybody knows in Atlanta, Tomi Martin is the muthafucka. I just call what I do [on guitar] tinkering around. It's been five years [since I've been playing], but back then I was just doing stuff with my mouth. I don't call myself a musician, but I have the utmost respect for those that put in the amount of time it takes to [to excel]. Tomi's the muthafucka.

Yosky-wosky, peesky-weesky
What'cha wanna do-ski?
Nathaniel
Niggas get jacked like Daniel
Somethin' I can't handle
Yo, unkay
And to them rudypoots, don't attempt to try this at home
It's just a poem until y'all learn right from wrong
Know when to bless a situation, when to grab the chrome
But it's back on, another stormy night in Atlanta, Georgia
Overcast, but on behalf of Outkast, I cordially
Invite you to an emotion filled theater
Bring your umbrellas, 'cause young fella, it gets no weirder
We reign, reign supreme, 'preme
Dungeon, dungeon kings
Do you know what brings rats, mice, snakes up out of they hole?
Chonkyfire, spliced with rock 'n roll indubitably, piper pied
Now hold on my brother, no, no, no, no, can't stop the stride
Do you know what brings rats, mice, snakes up out of they hole?
Chonkyfire, spliced with rock 'n roll indubitably, piper pied
Now, now just hold on my brother, no, no, no, no, can't stop the stride
You are now about entering the fifth dimension of ascension
Our only intention is to take you high
Uh, yeah, yeah, my Lord
Yeah, uh
To make one bob they head would be the track job
Your job's to spit that fire
Some of y'all MC's take this rhymin' for granted, I won't comply
With that slackin', poppin' and crackin', fourth ward way we snappin'
They won't that hardness, that oddness that gets a nigga to start this
What's happenin', see if do what you won't do today, boy
Will I live tomorrow like you can't even live 'cause you strayed
Motivational skills lackin', when I see you, nigga, you're packin'
Understand that though, you behind a seventy-five thousand dollar car note
But you still stay with mom though, playin' the king like Don though
You chocked up, you was the nigga that's supposed to been so loc'd up
Makin' them thick hip hop is dead, exhume the body if you ain't scared
And if I see you in the streets, I'd dap you down like you was Greg, yeah
We reign, reign supreme, 'preme
Dungeon, dungeon kings
Do you know what brings rats, mice, snakes up out of they hole?
Chonkyfire, spliced with rock 'n roll indubitably, piper pied
Now hold on my brother, no, no, no, no, can't stop the stride
Do you know what brings rats, mice, snakes up out of they hole?
Chonkyfire, spliced with rock 'n roll indubitably, piper pied
Now, now just hold on my brother, no, no, no, no, can't stop the stride
Do you know what brings rats, mice, snakes up out of they hole?
Chonkyfire, spliced with rock 'n roll indubitably, piper pied
Now hold on my brother, no, no, no, no, can't stop the stride
Do you know what brings rats, mice, snakes up out of they hole?
Chonkyfire, spliced with rock 'n roll indubitably, piper pied
Now, now just hold on my brother, no, no, no, no, can't stop the stride
And the winner is, ladies, help me out
OutKast
Goodie Mob in the house, yeah
Word, what's up?
Goodie Mob in the house, yanamsayin'
We wanna say what's up to New York, yanamsayin', 'cause we from Down South, namsayin'
Is New York up in this, yanamsayin'? Are y'all in here, yanamsayin'?
This y'all city, yanamsayin'
We just wanna say-, yanamsayin', wanna say what's up to all the original MCs out there
People out there that who got their own stuff
So what's up, Dré?
Yeah, first of all, yanamsayin', I wanna thank God
Just- namsayin', dead serious
'Cause if it wasn't for him, yanamsayin', we wouldn't be here
But it's like this though, I'm tired of folks, yanamsayin', them closed-minded folks, yanamsayin'
It's like we got a demo tape and don't nobody wanna hear it
But it's like this, the South got somethin' to say
That's all I got to say
