Out of Ether
The name Out of Ether literally means out of nowhere! Coming from the Midwest, the trio was formed with the intention of creating music and finding ways to help others. Their soulful and emotive Alt.Country/ Alt. Rock/ Americana songs capture that 'special something' that makes their music relevant yet timeless. "We were very honored to debut 'Love Is' during a celebrity event during the Sundance Film Festival last year," says James Russell. "The experience was amazing! Our goal is to translate and release "Love Is" in over 20 languages across the planet. The response to our Chinese release of Love Is has been Incredible!"
Out of Ether's 'accidental' release of the country demo "Drinking Her Beautiful" led to heavy rotation on US Radio and even garnered them an invitation to the Academy of Country Music Awards. Their hit song, "Daddy Don't Let Go," was also featured as part of the "Life in the Years" project alongside songs by Natalie Merchant and Carly Simon.
Cancer is a Word Not a Sentence
Out of Ether Lyrics

I took your hand and held you by my side
Even the doctor, broke down and cried
Is this a dream? A bad dream…
Cancer's just a word a tiny word
One I wish that I had never heard
Cancer's just a word, it's not a sentence
We went home and cried ourselves to sleep
I woke up, you were smiling there at me
You are so Strong, Your so strong
Cancer's just a word a tiny word
One I wish that I had never heard
I know you are afraid and feel defenseless
Cancer's just a word, it's not a sentence
We will fight this fight, until it's time to quit
We will live each day like a precious gift
And tomorrow can wait…
Cancer's just a word a tiny word
One I wish that I had never heard
I know you are afraid and feel defenseless
Cancer's just a word, it's not a sentence
Cancer's just a word, it's just a word…
The lyrics to Out of Ether's song Cancer is a Word Not a Sentence convey a message of hope and strength in the face of a scary diagnosis. The singer describes holding a loved one's hand during a conversation with a doctor who breaks down in tears, indicating the severity of the situation. However, the singer emphasizes that cancer is just a word, a small word, and that it does not have to be a death sentence. The song encourages listeners to fight and live each day as a gift.
The lyrics convey the overwhelming emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis, such as fear and feeling defenseless. But the singer emphasizes that these emotions don't have to hold us back, and that we can find strength to fight through them. The song offers comfort and a message of solidarity to anyone grappling with a cancer diagnosis, reminding them that they are not alone and that they have the power to overcome this.

Rhod's ADHD and John's OCD is the best combination on telly lol
@ems7623
Yes .... Totally agree. Great television. But just be glad you don't have to live through anything like that in your own life. Take my word for it, an OCD/ADHD pairing as flatmates or in dating can be VERY challenging and stressful for both parties. My most promising relaitonship failed because of it. (I was the ADHD side of that and, well, any therapist will tell you that ADHD people often have difficulty sustaining long term relationships. What they don't tell you is that its not always because we're running off to the next interesting thing or person. More often, we're pushed away. Sigh.)
That cutlery scene ... Very real to me.

you know the sanity level is totally gone when Johnny Vegas is at a loss for how to proceed
@robfriesen2341
Of all the guests on every panel show, Rhod is the one I will watch immediately. He is Taskmaster legend and I love him on WILTY and here as well.
@neverlistentome
I would go so far as to say Rhod was the best to ever play the game Taskmaster.
@jeremymissens7608
I agree but I have to put Bob Mortimer right up there with Rhod, both of them are so fun to watch lol
@LankyLegs96
I would actually say controversially that Rhod was one of the worst! He didn't stick to the meaning of the tasks but not even within the notion of it being a smart interpretation, he did his own thing in the group tasks and was very crass and crude throughout - I genuinely didn't enjoy him being on much but I appreciate that may be just me, but think it's important to see the other side of things
@LankyLegs96
He's great on a panel show though
@jeremymissens7608
@@LankyLegs96 but the task master took his side because they're friend's lol it was entertaining, which ultimately is the point.
