Their R&B/Hip-hop/Rap/soul music takes influences from their various backgrounds (Arab, Pakistani, and Latin music), and although their songs are primarily in English, they usually feature lyrics in Spanish, Urdu, Arabic, and Danish. All these influences make the music of Outlandish somewhat unique and this is easy to notice from the variety of genres covered in their albums. Outlandish often include themes about Islam and contemporary issues facing young Muslims in the west in their music, and sometimes their songs define a nasheed-like unique genre.
So far they have produced four albums: Outland's Official (2000), Bread & Barrels of Water (2003), Beats, Rhymes & Life (2004) and Closer Than Veins (2005).
Last November 2006 Outlandish won the MTV EMAs as a best danish act of the year, the same month as the creation of their new fan-site Elmoro4Life.com

Introduction
Yo, yo what's up everybody? This is from Outland moros again
2003, 4, 5, 6 and so on. [Writing ?] Barells of water this time
Aha, yeah, how ya feeling? Okay
It all begins with the early morn' prayer
A humble peace to the angels on each of my shoulders
Before I seize the sun, one kiss gon' hit the sky
God is great! I'm probably the happiest kid on the block
Trying to lace this rhyme in time
Ran through them streets
The brown kid with the curls got the beat
Trying to explain the whole world how I'm so mainstream
Call me sell-out
Down with the fastest growing religion
Down with the fastest growing industry in this business
I love how I live
Ain't gotta have a reason to give
Inspiration through the way that I live
Remember the name I.S.A.M
How hard can it be, Bachiri is the fam
My outlandmoro is the clan
Chorus
Walk the plank, no half stepping, ya running out of time
World is yours kid, sure ain't mine
Gotta get yours, gotta get mine
Wise up or get shot, trying to cross the line
Verse2 (Lenny)
Translation:
Here we are again
Doing it, taking us
The time
To return to simplicity
The bread represents the work, witch I never turn my back on
The water is my trophy
And every time I ask my self for, more sweat, more effort
To improve
Martínez crops ideas
Everything can be overcome and be elevated
To a step higher in the sky
Where the common people take their footsteps
Chorus
Rapverse3 (Waqas)
Meet me half way on the bridge 'cause I'm half way home
From the land of nasty drums, dirty dollars and chromes
Only time people popping their collars to keep the heat out
Your shit ain't clean then keep your feet out
Uh yeah it's outlandmoro again
We all about bread and barrels of water
Simple things we outta open our eyes to
You recognize me I'll recognize you
But if not who will despise who?
Uh yeah we all wanna conquer them stairs
Most of us not prepared I can see you scared
Cause 5 times a day I'm on rehab, but still I bounce back
Somehow it's like that
Ending
Uhh let it shine
I know ya by my side
Feel the most kind
I thank you for this life
Along, along the way
Might fall once or twice
Promise you at the end of the day
I will see your light
Yea yea, it's outland moro right here - you ready?
we're gonne give you something you never heard before
sit your ass down, make some hot tea, fix some bread n' shit
and just enjoy this music...
The song "Introduction" by Outlandish tells the story of three friends who come from different backgrounds and are united by their love for music. The first verse, sung by Isam, talks about starting the day with the early morning prayer and feeling blessed to be alive. He raps about how he is proud to be part of the fastest growing religion and industry, and how he wants to inspire others with his music. The chorus talks about taking risks and making the most of life while we still have time.
The second verse, sung by Lenny, is in Spanish and talks about how he is proud of his simple life, where bread represents his work and water is his trophy. He talks about the need to work hard and improve constantly to achieve success. The chorus is repeated after his verse.
The third verse, sung by Waqas, is about coming from a tough background and trying to make it in the music industry. He talks about how he's halfway home and how it's a struggle to keep his head up. He raps about being on "rehab" five times a day, which could be a reference to prayer, and how he bounces back from setbacks. The song ends with all three singers encouraging their listeners to enjoy the music and appreciate the simple things in life.
Overall, the song is about the power of music to bring people together and inspire them to make the most of their lives. The singers are proud of their different backgrounds and use their music to express their unique perspectives and experiences. The chorus is a reminder to take risks and chase our dreams while we have the time.
