Are You Ready
Overnight Lows Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Take me away
Take me far away to anywhere but here
Driving all night long
Just to cure my loneliness
# guitar
Show me the sun
In the darker all it's all misunderstood
But it's all I am
And it's all I understand
# guitar
Maybe I don't know the way
Maybe I don't know
Chores
Are you ready to go?
Are you ready to leave?
Are you ready to say goodbye?
Are you ready to go?
Cause it's no guarantee
When you ready to say good bye
# guitar
Give me a rose
Underneath the bridge that leads me back to you
Only time will tell
But I just can't help myself
# guitar
Maybe I don't know the way
Maybe I don't know
Chores
Are you ready to go?
Are you ready to leave?
Are you ready to say goodbye?
Are you ready to go?
Cause it's no guarantee
When you ready to say good bye
# # guitar
Maybe I don't know the way
Maybe I don't know
Chores
Are you ready to go?
Are you ready to leave?
Are you ready to say goodbye?
Are you ready to go?
Cause it's no guarantee
When you ready to say good bye
Chores
Are you ready to go?
Are you ready to leave?
Are you ready to say goodbye?
Are you ready to go?
Now it's all up to me

I just wanted to say
Good bye

The song made the end of Gwonams great adventure even more emotional.

@Ninetails2000

After examining the lyrics, I'm absolutely surprised by how bittersweet this song is. You wouldn't expect that kind of tone out of a song that's become famous more for being in a children's movie that was parodied in a Youtube Poop....

Yes

@stevie5552

I know this song not from the dino film but from "The great Gilly Hopins" film. I wonder why this band is not more popular. They seem to be more present in movies than on stage or on radio. Great music! Like it!

@MyScorpion42

They probably made an effort to license their music out a bunch. That was Smash Mouth's strategy.

@claud8478

this song is underrated
