Overall Meaning

The song "Parade" by Oversight is about a person who is struggling with their emotions and trying to find a way to deal with them. The lyrics talk about feelings that cannot be easily expressed or understood, and the pain and confusion that come with that. The first verse talks about the wind blowing and how it hurts, but there are feelings that can't be lost, and the person is trying to gather them together. They realize that they are naive and innocent and they can't understand everything. The chorus repeats "Kiitto sore wa owaranai," which roughly translates to "It will never end" or "It will continue forever." This could be interpreted as a statement of despair or a motivation to keep going.

The second verse talks about crossing over a river and how the sky is torn apart by clouds. The person is alone but they feel like they are on a parade, surrounded by different emotions like adventure, reality, judgment, tranquility, encounter, equipment, life, and love. The person talks about wanting to take hold of their dreams but not being able to. The third verse talks about how everyone carries a guidebook in their pocket, filled with information about how to live their lives. But the person feels like they are swimming in a huge bathtub, trying to find something that's just out of reach. The final chorus talks about the incomplete parade that they are on.

Overall, "Parade" by Oversight is a song about the struggles of dealing with emotions and not being able to fully express or understand them. It talks about the pain and confusion of trying to navigate life and the different emotions that come with it.

Absolute riff machine. Damn I love this album. I mean..wtf.. Yes, still thinking this 15 years after finding this band. It's like if Mozart wrote punk or something.

This CD is incredible.... I can't even BEGIN to imagine the writing process for this craziness

BEST FIND EVER!!! Still to this day by far the most hidden gem punk band I've ever found. If it wasn't for discontinued (illegal) services like Kazaa and LimeWire 15 years ago I would never have found these guys. Some say these were only profit platforms back in the day, being illegitimately illegal, but when you look at it nowadays it was through these mediums that you could find these bands and those were you're only resources.

UndergroundPunkGuy

Best part of the album at 27:38!
