L hiver dure trois saisons
In "Soleil du nord," Oxmo Puccino reflects on the challenges of living in the city, specifically in Paris, and the longing for a more peaceful and sunny life. He describes the bright lights of the city streets and the feeling of being trapped in a crowded and lonely existence. He questions the safety of drinking water and the cost of health care, which reflects the fragility of living in a society where one's well-being is at the mercy of external forces.
He also talks about the division between the north and south of France, where he feels the gap between people's lifestyles and their struggles is too wide to bridge. Oxmo yearns for a better life and mocks the idea of finding it in the city. He discusses the difficulty of making ends meet and the pressure to succeed despite one's struggles. He concludes with the idea that perhaps living in poverty is more bearable in a warmer climate, suggesting that life is challenging not only because of the hardships one faces but also because of the environment in which they must overcome them.
Overall, "Soleil du nord" is a poignant reflection on the emotional and financial struggles of living in a big city like Paris.
