Why do so many people moan about his pinch harmonics? It's his style, all artists/guitarists have their own signature sound, and his is the high gain pinch harmonics, just leave him alone? Slash has his smooth lead with the wah, Iommi has the high gain distortion of doom with simple yet amazing technique etc. If everybody had the same amp, sound, technique and playing style then it would all become overdone crap.

To all the people complaining about Zakk style: this solo it's not the same and other shit.... A pro player in my opinion give his version of the song, played with his personal style! If you like to ear the carbon-copy version of the song pay the ticket for some tribute band instead!

Man am I lucky, I got to see them perform back in the 90's, Zakk was a toothpick when I saw him, also I saw Zakk throw his guitar high in the air, spin around, the guitar landed on him with the strap on his neck and he continued to play, I don't know how in the world he did it, and I've never seen him do it again.

As much as I adore the original Randy version of this tune, Zakk adds his own signature sound. I mean we can't all go around playing Crazy Train like a bunch of Randy clones. But of course, when I play, I usually go for that classic Randy tone!

Zakk sounds more like a Zakk wannabe in this.. I dig Zakk and he is one of my favs. But the way he played this song during the No More Tears days was way better. It was like a perfect blend of his style and the way Randy played it. Look up the version from the "Live and Loud" album.

Without Randy Rhoads, these songs lose so much of their power and intensity. He had such a feverish intensity that is truly irreplaceable, never mind his technical virtuosity. One of musics biggest tragedies that he was taken so young.

I just don't like zacks tone most of the time, needs a darker sound.
harmonics are to emphasize a note and create a cool feel like RR used them.
zack plays them way to often, and they become a sound instead of something cool.
