You can love me or not
There's no such thing as sin
Let it all come right in
I wanna make some mistakes, I wanna sleep in the mud
I wanna swim in the flood, I wanna fuck 'til I'm done
I like whiskey on ice, I like sun in my eyes
I wanna burn it all down, so let's start a fire
Naked and laughing with my blood on the ground
I am here, I am here
I've already seen the bottom, so there's nothing to fear
Know that I'll be ready when the devil is near
I am here, I am here
All of this wrong, but I'm still right here
I don't have the answers, but the questions is clear
Let me ask you
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Let me ask you
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Let me ask you
May the light be upon me
May I feel in my bones that I am enough
I can make anywhere home
My fingers are clenched, my stomach in knots
My heart it is racing, but afraid I am not
Afraid I am not
I am here, I am here
I've already seen the bottom, so there's nothing to fear
I know that I'll be ready when the devil is near
I am here, I am here
All of this wrong, but I'm still right here
I don't have the answers, but the questions is clear
Let me ask you
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Let me ask you
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Let me ask you
I can think of one thousand places
Much worse than this
But I am here, I am here
I've already seen the bottom, so there's nothing to fear
Know that I'll be ready when the devil is near
'Cause I am here, I am here
All of this wrong, but I'm still right here
I don't have the answers, but the questions is clear
Let me ask you
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Let me ask you
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
Where does everybody going when they go
So, let me ask you
Oh, let me ask you
Ooh, ooh
So let me ask you
The lyrics to "I Am Here" by P!nk reflect a sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance. The first verse suggests that the singer is open and unafraid to experience life and all of its imperfections. They are not bound by religious or societal notions of sin, instead embracing everything that comes their way, including mistakes and failures. The second verse emphasizes the singer's desire to live life on their own terms, unapologetically and freely. There is a sense of fearlessness in their pursuit of personal fulfillment, even if it means facing difficult challenges.
The chorus reiterates the singer's resolve to live life to the fullest and not be limited by fear or doubt. They have already faced the worst, so there is nothing left to be afraid of. The mention of the devil suggests that the singer has faced their own demons and is now prepared to face whatever challenges come their way. The repetition of the phrase "Let me ask you / Where does everybody going when they go" suggests a search for deeper meaning and connection with others.
Overall, "I Am Here" is a powerful anthem about self-acceptance and resilience. It encourages listeners to embrace their true selves and face life with courage and determination.
