[D.I.G.]
What's up man?
I think you need to back up off me brah
Cause right now, I'm not feelin too good
And I have a attitude problem
You might push that button to strike that nerve
So you need to just go 'head on and back up
[Master P]
WHICH ONE OF YOU WENCHES SCRATCHED MY 600??!

y'all don't want to step to dis, hah, whut? (repeat 4X)

[Master P]
I used to check domes, now it's platinum over chrome
Surveillance in my home, but they still tappin my phone
See I'm the thug of the century
Cause I done laid it down
from the streets to overseas to penitentiary
We got beef, diss 3rd Ward and get the soldiers
I represent the 3rd Ward Callio' I thought I told ya
See the eyes of the tiger in my blood
Ask TLC, am I a motherfuckin scrub?
We attack from the back whether it's a Jag or some cat
I'm all about my scratch -- you get that? (hahah)
See nuttin don't last forever
but Only God Can Judge Me, cause I'm down to do whatever

y'all don't want to step to dis, hah, whut? (repeat 4X)

[Master P]
Soldiers make some noise (HOODY HOO) whassup, where you at?
All my thugs in the front and all my thugs in the back
See I'm a soldier for life and that's real I keep it trill
Body full of tattoos and a motherfuckin gold grill
I like my Henn and my trees cause I'm a baller
Can I really hoop? Fool, ask Vince Carter
Six million on top, now y'all suckers pop
When I close down shop, don't make me get the glock
From the South to the East, give it up
And from the West to the North we bout to tear the fuckin club up
(UNNNNNNNNGGGH) Lotta players want to serve me
Cause I'm the ghetto Bill Gates but I'm legit, ya heard me??

y'all don't want to step to dis, hah, whut? (repeat 4X)

[D.I.G.]
Here come dem boys out the bricks, a-lil-daddy whassup
You say you bout trigger play, now show me that you a thug
I ain't wit that mouthin off, I'm out spillin your blood
Mess around if you want to box, gon' stay in the mud
No Limit soldiers known for bustin it up
Better tell him it's real, we be tossin it up
So if you step to these soldiers I think you better show some love
Cause we 99 strong, and we nuttin but thugs
and pistols bein cocked at all times
and when you run up you gon' fall down
Cause I'ma hit you with the heat and make you calm down
You ain't ready to go to war with a real soldier
So don't step to me fool, cause the game is over

y'all don't want to step to dis, hah, whut? (repeat 8X)

Overall Meaning

The song "Step in 2-3" by P.A.D.S. Music Studio is a rap song that speaks about the tough and gritty life of being a soldier. The lyrics, performed by rappers Master P and D.I.G., depict the brutal realities of violence and crime on the streets. The song begins with D.I.G. telling someone to back off because he's not feeling good, setting the tone for a confrontational and aggressive track. Master P then jumps in with the famous line "Which one of you wenches scratched my 600??" which shows that he's not to be messed with. The lyrics go on to talk about the thug life, surveillance, beef, and attacks from the back, emphasizing that the streets are not a place for the weak. The chorus "y'all don't want to step to this" is repeated throughout, reminding the listener that the soldiers are to be respected and feared.

The song is a classic rap song that captures the essence of the gritty street life. It was released in 1998 and was part of Master P's album "MP Da Last Don". The song was produced by Craig B and KLC and was a huge hit, reaching number 12 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

@Eight-Bit-Hustler

The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me, is why the 8 endless encoders don’t also split into 2 sets of 8 = 16 encoders the same way!?

The A/B button splits the pads up between the full 16 into two sets of 8 (bottom 8 and top 8)

why don’t the 8 encoders behave the same way!? Plus It would map out perfectly when paired to any of the current gen. MPC’s
16 Q-links that correspond to the 16 pads as well!? For some reason it just don’t work out that way!?

Especially since there isn’t any other way currently to map out the full 16 Qlinks on (ANY) other MIDI controller! Even things like the “midi twister” or “fader fox” can’t be used since with Qlinks since they are proprietary to Akai Only the MPC X had the full set of 16 without having to tab through 4 banks if 4 Qlinks! To me it would make so much more sense if the full 16 Qlinks could be accessed with an MPK hooked up! But nope…

(Sorry for the rant!) lol
but C’mon Akai!!! Just release (Anything) for us people that use an MPC Live 1-2, MPC One-One plus, MPC keys 61, or touch so we can have access to all 16 Q’s The screen would have even been perfect too!!?

Patrick Mahomes, why are you making beats you've got a super bowl to win

@HeyPich

Travis' gf needs beats

@thejoey993

The mapping inside the akai editor is what everyone needs. Ive watched a few hours of youtube content and soo far the only template that looked promising was 12$. Theres shorcuts like these but wont get you far in fl studio, like a fully mapped mpk 🤧

@HeyPich

Yeah it's not perfect but it got the job done for me, figured I'd share

@MRW_offiicial

How to assign buttons on the synthesizer in FL Studio? not to be confused with knobs, we are talking about buttons.

@HeyPich

Sorry brotha, I don’t have the answer to that one

@JewelzUFO

Right click on the parameter, then select "link to controller". Then turn the knob on the controller and that parameter will be linked to the knob on the controller.
