Help me!

Help me!
Company
I want someone to be my friend
To not leave me alone again
Help me!

Help me!
Я не хочу быть так
Помогите меня

Здесь ничего нет
Help me!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to P.J. Powers's song Help reflect the struggles and aspirations of the common man in Lagos, Nigeria. The song speaks to the frustration many people feel in their everyday lives, as they hustle to make ends meet and provide for their families. The opening lines of the song capture this feeling perfectly, as the singer declares that they are tired of chasing after other people’s cars and dreams. The song goes on to implore God to bless the listener with prosperity and abundance, so that they can live a fulfilling life without worry or distress.

The chorus of the song is particularly powerful, as it speaks to our shared human desire for help and assistance in times of need. The refrain "Oo ori ori o, gbemi gbemi pade Olore" is a plea for God's help in finding a path towards success and happiness. The song touches on themes of family and community, making it clear that our struggles are not ours alone, and that we must all work together to support each other in achieving our dreams.

Overall, Help is a song of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. It reminds us that while life is difficult, we must persevere and keep pushing forward, always seeking the help we need from those around us and from God.
