P.K. Sadist (Born Jack Hayward, September 5 1995, Cheshire, United Kingdom) is an autistic British synthesizer musician. His music is defined by a hefty use of improvisation and his own pompous vocal style.
As an autistic teenager growing up in Winsford, United Kingdom, and being schooled in West Kirby, 65 miles away, Hayward was never interested in the music of the period, but preferred older rock music, his stepfather having introduced him to Meat Loaf and Deep Purple. After going to a Deep Purple concert in 2009, Hayward began playing his own music, first as a bassist, and later, like his true father, became a keen keyboard player. Hayward began buying rock magazines, and took a keen interest in the progressive rock revival of 2009/10. He formed his current style on his new heroes, chiefly Arthur Brown and Keith Emerson, his stepfather's taste in harder rock and his mother's love of Alanis Morissette and Tracy Chapman. Hayward records his product on his iPod nano, in his bedroom, singing, playing the keyboard, and using the drum samples installed to the keyboard itself.
A keen lover of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hayward began playing under the name of Bickuribox, but changed to P.K. Sadist, taking his initials from those on the character Panik's coat. He has a unique writing style; he is somewhat a jazzy improvisationalist, but when writing a proper song, Hayward usually has it involve a concept of popular culture, usually from a videogame, film or anime. His catchphrase, "It's Limey Timey!", was thought up by Hayward after he judged his vocals to be "Disproportionately British". He has recorded three 5 track albums, 'In My Body... In My Head'; 'Initials: I.P.' & 'Mr. Melgeta'; and one full demo, 'Starchip Troopers' all released in 2011. He is currently working on a more serious project to what P.K. fans have been used to.
He has something of a friendship with deviant artist indecisivepancake. The two have never met, but indecisivepancake did the artwork for both of Hayward's albums thusfar, and Hayward dedicated the song and album 'Initials: I.P.' in her honour. He is also staunchly against the concept of Internet Trolls. 'D.A. Police' and signature 'Under The Bridge' are about his disgust for these.
