Two later CDs inspired the same sort of praise from critics and fans. The first, entitled "Deluxe" and recorded this under the moniker P. Hux. "Deluxe" was voted 1995 Album of the Year by fans and writers in Audities Magazine. The second album, recorded with his other band VeG, was recently dubbed "wonderful stuff" by Mojo Magazine, which noted Parthenon's "gold dust voice and blazing guitar."
Both P. Hux and VeG are notorious for sizzling live shows. VeG's performance at North By Northwest Conference in Portland, Oregon inspired one writer to say he was "blindsided by brilliance." Another called Parthenon a "pop visionary."
While Parthenon is known as an excellent singer and guitarist, he may be best known for his talents as a producer and collaborator. To date, he has penned four Top-20 hits. The first, "Hello Cruel World" appeared on "A Man Called E", the debut CD from the current frontman of Eels. Parthenon's most recent hit, "Wake Me Up ( When The World's Worth Waking Up For)" was featured on the debut CD by Kyle VIncent.

We find each other in this showdown
We cannot help but bring it all down with us
We care not for the entire town
Fight this showdown until we all fall down
Down
Until we all fall down
Down
Down
The lyrics to P. Hux's song "Showdown" speak to the destructive nature of conflict and the potential consequences of engaging in such behavior. The singer acknowledges that in the midst of a showdown, those involved cannot help but bring down everything and everyone around them. The intensity of the conflict overpowers any sense of concern for the well-being of others in the vicinity, as the lyrics proclaim that "we care not for the entire town." The singer is resigned to the outcome, as they anticipate that they will all fall down in the end.

We are only concerned about ourselves and the outcome of the conflict, not the well-being of the community
Fight this showdown until we all fall down
We will continue to battle it out until we are all destroyed
Down
