Known for his collaborations with New Orleans group, $uicideboy$, and rappers, Rich Brian, Fat Nick, Shakewell, Ghostemane, Ramirez, KXLLSWXTCH and Robb Bank$. He has been influenced by a variety of horrorcore rap groups, including Three 6 Mafia and UGK, but primarily the Cleveland group, Bones Thugs-n-Harmony.
Beginning his career in 2012 with his debut mixtape, Fuck It, Pouya has since released multiple mixtapes and five commercial albums, the first of which, Underground Underdog which claimed the second spot atop on the iTunes Top Hip Hop Albums. Initially, his goal in rap music was to distance himself from traditional underground rappers and rap about his background of poverty but has since expanded his content to a much wider variety of topics. Some of Pouya’s more popular material include the $OUTH $IDE $UICIDE album, his collaboration with Rich Chigga and Ghostface Killah, “Dat Stick Remix”, and his own hit singles, “Get Buck”, "Suicidal Thoughts in the Back of the Caddilac", and "Void".

In Pouya's song Safar, he expresses his feelings of loneliness and isolation. He states that nobody knows the true extent of his loneliness and that he is an emotional and crazy person. He then goes on to talk about how the world has caused him pain and that his heart is his only home, showing that he feels unaccepted in the world. Pouya talks about being tired of the chaotic dreams and longing that he experiences every night. He states that he is tired of repetitive songs that remind him how alone he is, and how the people around him are unresponsive to his emotions. He expresses the sentiment that he has been left alone in the midst of hard-hearted and insensitive people.
Further on, Pouya talks about a person that he cared for deeply and held a special place in his heart, but they have left him. He discusses how he is unable to feel comfortable or serene without that person and how their absence has left him with an empty feeling. Pouya feels as if he is trapped in a small cage that is suffocating him with a belief that they will never return. He remains in search of the person who was the missing link in his life. Through the lyrics of the song, Pouya not only shares his loneliness but also the longing for someone who could bring peace to his life.
