The band's debut album, "Meet Me At The Muster Station" (released October 5, 2010), was reviewed favorably (8.1) by Pitchfork Media, who called it "a compact debut that nonetheless feels momentously epic". As well, their track "Facelove" received an 8 and was branded "Best New Music" by Pitchfork Media.
PS I Love You's "Meet Me at Muster Station" received Exclaim!'s No. 4 spot for Top Pop & Rock Albums of 2010. Writer Alex Hudson describes the band's debut as "fully formed." Hudson goes on to say, "this Kingston duo delivers its catchy hooks with brute force, pummelling listeners with fuzzy guitars and thundering rhythms."
Get Over
PS I Love You Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
What you don't want you know I... got it
Am I the right guy for you?... probably not
But damn, that's what makes it so hot
What you got you know I... want it
What you don't want you know I... got it
La la la la la la la... probably not
Damn girl... wassup bro?
This city gets smaller by the minute and even if you leave, you're still in it
When this ends I'll turn to my friends
This dance party is getting smaller by the minute
In "Get Over", PS I Love You is expressing their desires for someone, even though they may not be the right fit for each other. The lyrics indicate a sense of longing, as the singer wants something they can't have. They are drawn to this person, even though they may not be a good match. The repetition of "What you got, you know I want it" emphasizes this desire.
The lyrics also touch on the idea that the city in which they reside is small and interconnected. The singer acknowledges that even if the person they desire leaves the city, they will still be connected to that person in some way. This adds a layer of complexity to the situation, as it may be difficult for the singer to avoid their feelings for this person.
Overall, "Get Over" is a song about conflicted emotions and the difficulty of letting go of desires, even when they may not be healthy or practical. The song captures the feelings of attraction and longing, while also acknowledging the challenges that come with these emotions.

(VERSE)
The only place I call home, you are
Every hope and dream I've ever had, you are
In other lifetimes, without any doubt
I'll keep choosing you
Like a cool breeze on a summer day, you are
Like a brightest star up in the sky, girl you shine
Keep making me wanting more
Girl, you are what I am lookin' for
(CHORUS)
I love you (love you oh)
I love you in every universe
You'll always be the first
Love you, you're my only one
I love you (I love you)
Love you still, I always will
I want you to know how I feel (how I feel)
And all the promise I'll fulfill
(My only one, my only love)

I met a boy when I was 16, and at the time, he was 17. A part of me knew we had something special. We were so deeply connected. We laughed all the time, had the best conversations and to simply put it, I adored him. We’d go on long drives and listen to his amazing playlist and sit in silence enjoying our moments together… But life happened and we lost touch shortly after. We reconnected again in our early 20s, but the timing was wrong and lost touch once again. Apparently our story wasn’t over as the universe brought us back together over 10 years later. And now, in our mid-30s, we are deeply in love. I’ve never felt a love so true and honest. Tonight, he set an alarm on his phone to remind him about the premiere of this song so he can send it to me (I sent him a small snippet of it a few days ago, so I’ve been anticipating the release not knowing the full song was going to be released tonight).
This IS our song. Thank you for creating this work of art. It has truly touched my soul and tells OUR story… a story that has no ending.
And to those who are searching for something special, don’t lose hope. You are worthy of true love.
