The band's original bassist and vocalist was Bud Cockrell, who was replaced by former Santana bassist Bruce Day in 1977. Day had a short tenure and was replaced again in 1980 by John Pierce when an additional guitarist, Angelo Rossi was added. In 1983, for the release of Out of Our Hands, the band underwent the biggest change yet, when original drummer Steve Price was replaced by David Perper, and Angelo Rossi was replaced by Stef Birnbaum(aka Stef Burns) after just one album. After the album was a failure due to the rising popularity of New Wave, the four original members all re-united and toured briefly from 1983 to 1985 until they finally disbanded.[2] In 2004, the band reunited again with three of the four original members: Jenkins, Lerios, and Price. Replacing former bassist Bruce Day is George Gabriel on bass and vocals. The band is now (2007) together and touring in the United States, mainly in and around California.
Slip Away

Thinking of days gone by
One more fool takin' someone for granted
How could I be so blind?
And I didn't believe that you'd really leave me
When it felt so right
I let you get away
I let you slip away from my love, baby
I let you get away
They say there's a reason
For all the pain in our lives
I guess I believe it's true
But where was I to leave me, now that I know
The reason that I lost you
I could've given you more
Could've loved you better
But I missed my cue
And I let you slip away from my love, baby
I let you get away
I let you slip away from my love, baby
I let you get away, let you get away
I let you slip away from my love, baby
I let you get away
I let you slip away from my love, baby
I let you get away
(I let you slip away from my love, baby)
You walked right out of my life, baby
(I let you get away)
And left me staring at a lonely, lonely, lonely night
(I let you slip away from my love, baby)
I lost the best thing I ever had
(I let you get away)
That day you walked away
(I let you slip away from my love, baby)
I let you, I let you, I let you slip away from my love
(I let you get away)
(I let you slip away, slip away from my love, baby)
Slipped away from me, girl
(I let you get away)
Oh, wanna moon rise with you so
(I let you slip away, slip away from my love, baby)
Yeah, yeah, oh, oh
(I let you get away)
You got away from my love, girl
(I let you slip away, slip away from my love, baby)
(I let you get away)
Let you get away, yeah
(I let you slip away, slip away from my love, baby)
I let you get away, yeah
The lyrics of "Slip Away" by Pablo Cruise explore the regret and sadness of losing someone due to taking them for granted. The singer looks back over their shoulder and thinks of days gone by, realizing that they let someone slip away from their love. They were blinded by their foolishness and didn't believe that the other person would actually leave them, even though it felt so right. But now that they know the reason they lost them, they regret not giving them more and loving them better. The pain of losing that person is portrayed as lonely nights and missing them terribly.
The theme of lost love resonates with many people and has been the basis of countless songs, but "Slip Away" stands out for its catchy groove and soulful delivery. The chorus is repetitive and easy to sing along to, which adds to its appeal. The song's message is one of self-reflection and taking responsibility for the mistakes made in a relationship. It's a reminder to cherish the people who are important to us, as they might slip away if we're not careful.

In My own Quiet Way - Pablo Cruise
Like a clown riding high
I'm a silent re-sale buy
And forget to say the sweet things you should hear
Like the sun spilling down
Never thinking who's around
I may shine at all and forget to dry your tears
But the time that I spend
Doing things you know I must do
Though I seem a million miles away
I'm always there with you
So, any time I don't show
The things I feel
I want you to know that I love you
In my own quiet way
If the stars fill the skies
With the light that fills your eyes
I'd be lost for words
The way I am with you
Like the moon needs the sun
To light up or everyone
You're the sun that shines
The light that gets me through
But there were times that I thought
That I needed to be alone
But I found you don't go anywhere
When you leave your heart at home
So, any time I don't show
The things I feel
I want you to know that I love you
In my own quiet way
And all the time that I spend
Doing things you know I must do
Though I seem a million miles away
I'm always there with you
So, any time I don't show
The things I feel
I want you to know that I love you
In my own quiet way
Yes, any time I don't show
The things I feel
I want you to know that I love you
In my own quiet way
Yes, I love you in my own quiet way
My own quiet way
