A Song
Pablo Moses Lyrics

Strong meditations get to my head.
With I guitar under I favorite tree.
And Jah inspiration building in me.
I play and I pray and sing and sing.
Releasing the inspiration within
Iโฒve written them this a song.
A song yeah for every one.
A song for you yeah and a song for everyone.
A song, you song and I song and jah jah song.
Some may consider it Appealing
But to someone very grieving.
Now others might not just go with him.
And some have the true meaning.
But always did we remain a sample
Maybe a little too long
Or maybe a little too short
But a song for my heart.
The lyrics of Pablo Moses's song, "A Song", reveal an inner dialogue that takes place at night, when the artist is alone, reflecting on life experiences with a guitar under a tree. In this introspective moment, he feels a strong sense of inspiration building up in him, prompting him to play, pray, and sing, culminating in a creative expression that he calls "A song yeah for every one."
The song's lyrics express a universal message of hope, inspiration, and love, appealing to all listeners, transcending individual differences of race, gender, religion, and social status. Despite this universal appeal, the lyrics acknowledge that not everyone will appreciate the song's message, and some may even be skeptical of its true meaning. Nevertheless, the artist remains resolved to share his heart through his music, offering himself as an example of courage and authenticity in the face of societal challenges.
Overall, "A Song" is a testament to the power of music as a medium of personal expression, communal solidarity, and artistic innovation, embodying the spirit of reggae music in its uplifting and transformative message.

Pablo Moses really hit his stride with the album this was from and it is my number one reggae go to album of all time. My DJ show was Reggae Inna North at KRUA in the early 90s and I played every one of the crucial cuts from "A Song"
