Running all around like crazy
I think that maybe we should take it slow
Don't lose your cool
We can feel the beat inside
Moving to the rhythm of your heart
We don't get another try
It's not that hard
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
When you get lost
That's how you get home
No matter all the times you fall
You'll get back up I know
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
If you need
There will be
Light to follow
When it's too dark to see
You'll find it's inside
Been there all along
Don't lose your cool
I know that the time is right
Moving to the rhythm of your heart
We don't get another try
It's not that hard
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
When you get lost
That's how you get home
No matter all the times you fall
You'll get back up I know
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
When you get lost
That's how you get home
No matter all the times you fall
You'll get back up I know
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
When you get lost
That's how you get home
No matter all the times you fall
You'll get back up I know
If you listen up
To the beat in your soul
The song "Listen Up" by Pacific Dub is a heartfelt and poignant message to someone who seems to be lost or struggling. The opening lines reveal the singer's concern for the person they are addressing, stating, "I've seen you lately, running all around like crazy." The singer goes on to offer some advice, suggesting that they "take it slow" and not lose their cool. However, the song's central message lies in its chorus. The repetition of the phrase "if you listen up, to the beat in your soul" encourages the listener to look inward, to find strength and guidance from within themselves. This idea is reinforced by lines such as "when it's too dark to see, you'll find it's inside, been there all along."
Overall, "Listen Up" is a powerful and uplifting anthem that encourages the listener to stay true to themselves and to have faith in their own abilities. It is a reminder that, even in difficult times, we all possess an inner strength that can guide us if we take the time to listen.
