Man I love the simplicity and also your transparency in informing people how they can do their own projects. I love your videos! I live in the area and it's fun to see your projects. I think both stepping stones are wonderful, both really "pop" and say WOW! I prefer the all-over coverage because it doesn't matter what you put on it it will be visible and dazzle the eyes. It would be a good stepping stone to support a pot without losing the color burst dazzle. The swirl is a good accent stepping stone without a pot on it, like a beautiful burst of happy color.

Very cool. I like the full cover one. Loving the broken colored glass pieces used. For another type usage of small glass pieces, I used the round bubble look glass pieces on my bathroom wall with caulking. It makes it look like bubbles are moving up the wall, in different sizes, some have mother of pearl look. Maybe could use them in concrete stepping stones as well. They come in different colors at Michaels Craft stores and some at Dollar General. Thanks for sharing your project, very interesting.

Hey David, handy tip for glass on projects like this. If you break up your own glass, you can tumble it in a cement mixer with sand to knock off the sharp edges safely. Then sieve the glass out of the sand.

Thank you for this information and the way you convey it! I'm a true novice at concrete and wanted to get some information for a small project. (a concrete slab to hold a statue) I did "okay" with the initial project but, of course, things like leveling, tools and a knowledge base left it lacking. I appreciate the way you share your concrete wisdom! Hope it works!

As a stained glass and mosaic artist, I have lots and lots of scrap glass. Usually, I will tumble the glass pieces and use them in mosaic designs. I never thought of using them in concrete steps or surfaces out of doors. This is a great idea. Can't wait to try it!

Great idea and nice outcome. I thought that making a design as an "S" and then linking them together so it looks like a river running through the stones would be an interesting one to try, to create a meandering stream with the blue stones.

Just having coffee this morning and watching missed videos. These are great Dave. Idk which one I like better. The cool thing is you are really able to do whatever you want with this technique. You could do 100% coverage as a walk way to your garden, then in the garden have designs. Make some ⭐, ⭕, 🌞, ❌... anything.

One thing I think would look interesting is black sand. I encountered it when I worked in janitorial supply. Large buildings use it to put in ash trays as it looks more decorative

Such an effective, amazing look with such a simple idea. Obviously important to get the glass well embedded so no sharp edges can protrude to cut bare feet crossing the slabs. Could you use a stencil made out of, say plywood, to get a regularity of shape? 👍🏻

I didn't think of that until now. I think the reason for that is when the glass lands on top, it lands flat and not on its side or ends. That's why you want to pound it straight down not to roll it over.

Very very nice!, I cut out the shape I wanted in the lawn by removing the turf and used that instead of a frame , also coloured stones and pebbles not glass for a lily pad like more rustic stepping stone... I really like this Guy's work

as a single tile yes it looks better. But I can imagine the second design will shine once many of them are placed next to each other covering a large area. even a single big star made of several tiles would be nice.
