1. Painkiller (also officially known as Pain Killer) is a band originally formed in 1991. Their style can be described as a mix of avant-garde jazz and grindcore; later albums also incorporated elements of ambient and dub. The three primary members of the band are John Zorn on saxophone, Bill Laswell on electric bass and Mick Harris (formerly of Napalm Death and founding member of Scorn) on drums. The band has also had several musicians make guest appearances both live and in the studio, including Yamatsuka Eye, Buckethead, Mike Patton, Makigami Koichi, Justin Broadrick and G. C. @Puppies Ponies Patriots I see you’re into horses; at least I assume so from your name. I have videos on my channel of my horse 😊 I had to give up running my barn because of the pain. I still ride, but it’s good for me, I just can’t ride 6-8 a day and muck out 9 and run the business on my own.

As I said, if you want to talk, I’m quite well-versed in this area and I’ve struggled and been seen by a pain team and tried a lot of things because of it.

Also, living in chronic pain is awful and it helps to know someone. My condition is Ehlers-Danlos and I’m kind of a mess and have had surgery after surgery and deal with frequent dislocations, walk on crutches sometimes and I’m struggling to find the right answers.

Things that have helped me enormously:

- we bought a mattress topper which is a heating pad. It has dual controls, so I can control one side of the bed but my husband doesn’t have to have it on;
- smaller portable heating pads;
- splints and wrapping joints (because of my dislocations;
- check your folates and vitamin D and B12. I found my pain improved greatly once I kept my B12 levels above 500 picograms per mL and I inject my B12. I cannot stress enough the effect low B12 has upon pain;
- ketogenic diet. It reduces inflammation and really helped with everything including my sleep;
- melatonin and Zopiclone has helped me sleep and they are NOT benzodiazepines and don’t have a risk of abuse;
- my pain meds;
- exercise;
- swimming because it’s no impact on any joints but strengthens you and releases endorphins and serotonin!;
- stretching and my physio team;
- I don’t find duloxetine helpful however;

Those are just a few small things that help make an enormous difference!

To my knowledge I haven’t had ketamine during any procedure - but I was induced with my first and had to go through each dilation method there was (which included a foley bulb). This was the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life, I was literally having an out of body experience with the pain. I was screaming, literally having a complete panic or anxiety attack or something of that nature where my nervous system was so stressed I started having a physical reaction (kicking, shaking, all the things). I begged for relief, and they gave me fentanyl. I had never understood drug use or ever felt more relief than that moment. As a chronically stressed person with mental health issues and lack of applied coping skills - I genuinely was in a state of relaxation for the first time in my life. And I understood a whole lot after that for sure.

I’d have to disagree that this is an unusual reaction to Ketamine. It’s actually very common. This chap is a Scot so he’s good to go and loving life!🥳😁 So much safer than opiates… no respiratory depression and just a chance of a slight increase in BP. It’s a bit freaky the first time you administer it but you quickly realize it’s a great drug and very little chance of abuse.

A DR helped me get off pain meds with K. Instead of disassociateing i was able to pin point my pain and set ease with it. I wish insurance covered the once every 3 month treatments I would totally do them. Not to get high but to actually deal with daily pain.

I recently had an ankle fracture. They tried this on me and it lasted about 2 seconds before I was fully awake and fully aware and feeling them pop my ankle back in. The worst part, it still wasn’t right and I had to go through a second round to reduce it. Then a surgery the next day to put in plates and screws. I really did not enjoy this.

well the feeling either starts wearing off after continued use and the desire is so strong to reach that point just to escape it all for a few minutes coupled with loss of simple brain functions and the forever searching all the while burying yourself to find a replacement. just so happens now you may die from just a 1 time high with fentanyl running rampant. So much easier to quit when you submit to the lord and let him guide you. (4 years clean off smack and starting life over again literally from nothing.) God sure is so good and I just try to be grateful and kind and loving towards all mankind. We're all broken and only chance of restoration depends on willingness to commit , serve others less fortunate solely to feel good in life for first time in 52 years. Thank you God. I just back from Scotland in March of 2022. It was a glorious trip and very quietly did a little research on my surname to find out more about it. I know Scots & Irish both roll their eyes when people talk about their lineage. My Mother was very British (booo!!!!) but I had no idea how Scottish my father’s family was. I’ll be the last Kendrick, once my 91 year old father departs this mortal coil. So when I die, that branch of our particular (linear) clan dies. Rather a daunting thought.

Anyway, I fell in love with Scotland & was gobsmacked by its geographical beauty & extremely friendly people. I wasn’t expected snow peaked mountain ranges and stunning forests of massive Scotch pines, I only visit the western side and up to Isle of Skye,but that hardly enough. I've been studying ketamine treatments, there was a wide array of different studies for different things such as depression, anxiety, in this case I really believe the philosophy "if it ain't broke don't fix it" no pun intended. In regards to medication, good old shot of versad not only will the pain be relieved but he won't remember anything minus this over the top reaction that lasts a pretty long time. Also combined with a painkiller is a cocktail that everybody's been using for ages, ketamine causes major hallucinations and sometimes horrible anxiety attacks and the only way to bring a patient out of those attacks is usually with lorazepam or some other benzodiazepine.

I've taken ketamine recreationally before and it puts you into a sort of vision of sorts. All, and I mean all of your pain receptors get completely 100 percent blocked. I remember everything had a beige hue, everything ! I was trying to look at the TV and couldn't concentrate at all. It was as if a thousand eyes were on you but no one was in the room. It's kind of spiritual I guess in a way. It would probably work great for someone trying to astral project. I liked it, it was just very strange and an extremely weird feeling. Of course I was up and awake, not leaning back like him with my eyes closed but I could see how he would behave this way, absolutely. Plus he was injected. What I had was snorted. So I'm sure it hitting all at once would be a complete trip. It's definitely psychedelic and if you try or want it to be spiritual, it can be! He was definitely seeing things. Hence the snake tube comment, lol!

When I broke my leg when I was 14, they gave me laughing gas when they were setting the cast. For anyone who has tried it they would know, but there's a funny audio effect it has where every noise sounds like a wahwah version. It was brilliant.

When I was older at parties, anytime I did laughing gas, the effect would be 10x stronger because my body would recognize my experience from when I was 14. I got to have a really good time for much cheaper than all my mates. lol

When I was in labor the back pain was so intense and severe I was in tears and couldn't take it anymore. I kept saying "No, I don't want anything I'll just deal with it."

Omg😂 I’m laying in the hospital right now. Been here almost a month. Nurse was just in and I am so nauseated and hurting and my bp bottomed out, so I decided to look at YouTube to get my mind off of it. Oh crap that had me laughing so. When they set my ankle my sister was in the room, she said they gave me the meds and I started to shake. She thought I was having a seizure, the next thing she heard the Dr say "oh that was easy" the nurse gestured to my sister and he told her "we should have to you that she might do that it is common". Wow. When my daughter was super sick they gave her ketamine before her spinal tap and it was the complete opposite of this man. It was the saddest and most terrifying experience. I think that's what they gave my grandmother when she had hip surgery. They had me come to talk to her after surgery because she was panicking and saying she was falling in a black hole and wouldn't listen to anything I said and told me to shut up. If you knew my grandmother...that WAS NOT HER. Only my brother could calm her down. Not a good drug for the elderly.

He sounds like my first hit of morphine, I was just coming out of the anesthetic for the second operation repairing my fractured neck, and the first thing I remember was the pain crashing down on me, and someone asking the pain,-1-10 , I croaked "about 20," and I wasn't joking then I heard "here comes the morphine" and it was sort of like him-WHOOO HOOOO I FEEL GREAT! and a few other like comments, and could hear someone chuckle, after that my perception of time and my memory got kind of fuzzy, and I got lots of sleep for a couple days but that part I remember very clearly. after that, the euphoria steadily diminished with each dose, until it just did a great job getting rid of the pain (I didn't take it nearly as often as I could have -not wanting to become addicted, but I can easily see the attraction to the high, which clearly takes more and more to get there.)

It's so good to hear of a positive reaction. When I had it, post op recovery room, I thought the nurses were trying to smother me and I kept asking God to take me. My son was traumatized by my reaction. The doctor told me I reacted like I was on a bad acid trip.
So I'm really happy that this was a good reaction.

My husband acts the same way. Once he had to have a procedure done while the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was going on. As he was going under, someone asked him if he'd been to the rodeo yet and he turned around and asked the nurse if she had ever ridden a cowboy. Needless to say, he had the entire Operating room cracking up.

I work in Veterinary Medicine and have always wished my patients could vocalise their K experience. This had me rolling on the floor 🤣 I would have been laughing so hard at/with this guy if I was the Dr or nurse. Absolutely brilliant 😅

I’ve had that stuff a few times for my TBI’s / migraines. The first time was a WILD ride! I saw the psychedelic flowers from the sixties in 3D popping out of the ceiling, lions popping out from them. My wife said I blurted out all sorts of profanities about my thoughts about then President Obama (nothing racist) . Being on a F 16 version of a hot air balloon. Coming off of it was a slow parachute ride. With kaleidoscope glasses. What a TRIP. My headache went from a level 10 to a comfortable 4. My first TBI was 16 years ago. Tonight I have a level 8 and hating life!!!

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic. Great on kids in the ER. It's almost like an LSD substance, but it is injectable. The recovery period can be prolonged and even violent. I would not recommend it's use unless administered by someone with great experience with this drug.

I remember being given drugs like that in the ER. Well, all I remember is one nurse laughing like crazy, shouting "Jeeesus, we really should get a camera down here, nobody's going to believe us when we tell", one was cranky and wanted me transfered to surgery asap, because he'd "reached his limit". And then I barfed on him.... That's all I remember. I have no recollection of what made them react like that... And I don't want to know...

I was taking Suboxone and had to have open heart surgery..the Drs told me to take it up to the surgery morning.. needles to say I woke up in extreme pain and then I was introduced to ketamine. I remember hearing the nurses bitching because they would have to call anesthesia everytime I needed pain relief..I remember saying special k really loud and that was the end of my experience.

I have no memory ever singing .I think that’s the idea with this drug . You’re not aware of pain or your surroundings. You gone completely loopy . That’s why it’s such a powerful pain reducer .

My ankle was broken on both sides foot turned in a different direction and I asked for no pain meds. The doctor said he had to set it and it required meds I refused he set it cast it up until my surgery date. Ankle surgery is the worst pain ever

For people who don't know, Ketamine is not at all really related to Opioid/Opiate painkillers, it offers completely different effects. His reaction really isn't that unusual, I mean it's a high dose of Ketamine, what did you expect?
