Pama International Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm sorry I, I know that it's true.
Apologies can't wipe everything clean
But one day I hope, I hope you will see.
Forget the times we forgot to love,
Remember times of joyful lust.
Lying in fields under summer sun.
Summer sun.
Tomorrow will bring you happiness complete,
Riches you bestow in return you will reap.
Trust your generous heart don't be scared,
'Cause I'll be there for you, for you if you need.
Forget the times we forgot to love,
Remember times of joyful lust.
Lying in fields under summer sun,
Summer...
Summer sun.
The lyrics of Pama International's song Earthquake convey a sense of regret and hope for redemption. The opening lines, "If I was a hypocrite to you / I'm sorry I, I know that it's true", express remorse for past wrongs and a desire for forgiveness. The acknowledgement that "apologies can't wipe everything clean" shows an understanding that repairing damaged relationships is a gradual process. The following line, "But one day I hope, I hope you will see", suggests that the singer is optimistic about the future and the possibility of reconciliation.
The next stanza shifts focus to the idea of happiness and prosperity. The line, "Tomorrow will bring you happiness complete", suggests that the future holds promise and that good things are on the horizon. The sentiment is further reinforced with the line, "Riches you bestow in return you will reap", which seems to suggest a belief in karma or the idea that good deeds will be rewarded. The singer implores the listener to trust their generous heart and to not be afraid, assuring them that they will be there if needed.
The final stanza returns to the theme of nostalgia and the idea of cherishing happy memories. The line, "Forget the times we forgot to love", implies that love was once present but was lost or forgotten. The line, "Remember times of joyful lust", celebrates the pleasures of youth and the excitement of new experiences. The final two lines, "Lying in fields under summer sun / Summer... Summer sun", evoke a sense of idyllic beauty and carefree days.
Overall, the lyrics of Earthquake express a sense of regret for past mistakes, hope for the future, and a celebration of joyful memories. The themes of love, happiness, and redemption are interwoven throughout the song, creating a tapestry of emotions that is both poignant and uplifting.
