Panteón Rococó blend several styles of popular music such as rock, punk, salsa, cumbia, mariachi, reggae, ska, and also mestizo music into a very energetic, groovy sound. As they are very political people and sympathize with the EZLN in Chiapas, some of their lyrics contain political statements, but many others are love songs.
While very popular in Mexico, they are not so known in Europe, hence their contributions and tours there.

Gente Reacción
Panteón Rococó Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
These lyrics are from Panteón Rococó's song "Gente Reacción," which describes a protest march against government oppression and violence. The song starts with a rebel emerging with their face covered and the curtains in the nearby car closing, indicating that the authorities are on high alert. The song then describes the different groups joining the protest, including the Lesbian-Gay movement and student groups like C-C-H and Chapingo. The lyrics also mention the role of music, philosophy, and art in the protest. The people are dancing, shouting, and carrying placards and bottles of aerosol to protest and "stop the massacre."
Throughout the song, there is a sense of unity in the face of oppression. People of different backgrounds and ideologies come together to fight against a common enemy. The last lines of the song point out that there are those who serve the government and harm the nation, confusing people's reasoning and leading to the destruction of the country.
Overall, "Gente Reacción" is an anthem for collective resistance, pushing people to stand up against government oppression, and fight for justice.
