Panteón Rococó blend several styles of popular music such as rock, punk, salsa, cumbia, mariachi, reggae, ska, and also mestizo music into a very energetic, groovy sound. As they are very political people and sympathize with the EZLN in Chiapas, some of their lyrics contain political statements, but many others are love songs.
While very popular in Mexico, they are not so known in Europe, hence their contributions and tours there.

The Panteón Rococó's song Vete Lejos (Go far away) talks about a painful breakup and the lingering of the pain even after the person has gone. The song starts with the singer feeling alone, with the door closed, no one sleeping by his side, and knowing that everything has ended. He feels the absence of the person who left him, and he feels suffocated by the impatience of not being able to let go of the pain that his departure has caused. He describes that the pain entered him like a virus that attacks his immune system, and even though he waited for the person to leave, the cruel desolation invades his life. He feels very sad and tormented, drowning in alcohol and talking about the ingratitude towards the love that left him.
The chorus of the song is an outcry for the pain to leave him alone, to go far away, and never come back. He declares pain as his enemy and begs it to leave him. He remembers that he had decided to share his destiny with the person who left him, but everything changed.
