At the end of the 1997, the sisters won the New-Artist category for the song Amici Come Prima at the Sanremo Festival. After which they soon released their first album.
Chiara Iezzi was born on February 27, 1973, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Paola Iezzi was born on March 30, 1974, with dark hair and a dark complexion.
The two sisters were very close while growing up and treated each other like twins. They would wear each other's clothes and had the same taste in fashion, music and many other things. Chiara went to an artistic school and Paola went to a classic school. The sisters formed their first music group called The Elefunky which specialized in funk music. They played in various clubs in Milan and were noticed by Claudio Cecchetto who was feverishly looking for a group that would help known artist Max Pezzali.
The sisters left the club scene and joined up with Max Pezzali and played at many Festival Bars in Italy. They became a part of a group called 883, and the sisters played the guitar and trombone. The group released the album "La donna, il sogno ed il grande incubo". After a big tour to promote the album, the sisters decided to become solo artists.
The sisters visited Ireland after seeing the movie, "Braveheart", because they wanted to visit the locations where the movie was shot. The trip was an inspiration to both and gave them a feeling of real freedom. The sisters returned to Ireland again and were inspired to write many song.
They decided to participate in the Sanremo New-talent search in 1996. The song In Viaggio (In Transit) led the sisters to win the contest in which they gained new fans and admiration.
In July 2013, the duo released the album Giungla, which also features rappers Razza Krasta and Moreno. Shortly after the release of the album, they announced their separation.[2]

Siamo noi
Paola & Chiara Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Che siamo rimasti senza voce
Che la troppa libertà ci ha viziato l'anima
Si sa
Senza più cultura e religione,
Maleducati, che ci vestiamo male
Noi generazione x
Oltre tutti i limiti
Superficiali e fragili
Ma questi
Siamo noi
Nati per vivere
Solo noi
Ridere
Siamo noi
Solo noi
Per farvi sentire il nostro nome
Braccia in alto in manifestazione
E riempire stadi di
Cori e sogni liberi
E se urliamo un po' più forte
Ci troverete ancora stanotte
Siamo noi
Nati per ridere
Solo noi
Vivere
Siamo noi
Solo noi
(*stiamo contando i giorni che
Ci mancano per vincere)
Siamo noi
Nati per vivere
Solo noi
Ridere
Siamo noi soli noi
The song "Siamo Noi" by Paola & Chiara talks about how the older generations are quick to judge the younger generation, saying that they have lost their voice, culture, and religion because they have too much freedom. The song challenges this claim and proudly proclaims that the younger generation, known as generation X, may dress poorly and be misunderstood, but they are still capable of great things. They are capable of filling stadiums with their dreams, chanting their name through a megaphone, and shouting their ideas from the rooftops. They will not be silenced, and they will not be underestimated. The song highlights the younger generation's resilience, their ability to keep fighting, and their determination to make themselves heard.
Through the lyrics "Senza più cultura e religione // Maleducati, che ci vestiamo male", Paola & Chiara attempt to criticize older generations who neglect the real nature of their kind who have different experiences and attitudes towards life. They are saying that they are also capable of great things despite how other people judge them based on their looks and beliefs. The song encourages everyone to pursue their dreams, regardless of what other people might say. By using powerful and upbeat music in the song, Paola & Chiara are able to convey the energetic and enthusiastic spirit of the younger generation.

Bellissima canzone! Peccato che l'Italia non fosse pronta a tutto questo!
