In 1995, Pajo started the M franchise, issuing a single and a split single in short order. As Aerial M, he released several singles, a self-titled album and a remix album. As Papa M, he produced three full-length albums, the first of them, Live from a Shark Cage, in 1999.
In 2002, Pajo joined Billy Corgan's Zwan, with whom he released an album and toured the world for two years. It was during this time that he started the Papa M singles series.
Hole of Burning Alms appeared in 2004 - to date, the last Papa M record. This collected Aerial M and Papa M sides to form another long-playing link in the M chain.
Since then, he has recorded as Pajo. His self-titled first release came in the summer of 2005 - a collection of solo recordings made on the road. He then released the home recording 1968, as part of a Pajo trilogy. The final album was Scream With Me, a collection of acoustic Misfits covers. This album was only released on vinyl and download. He has played live as Pajo very sparingly, a few dates dotted around the globe.

The Lass of Roch Royal
Papa M Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And who is gonna glove your hand?
And who is gonna kiss those red ruby lips
When I'm in that far off land?
The pretty little birds did sing sad notes
They sang around the lake
They sang us a sad little goodbye song
Oh when my eyes are smiling
My heart is full of pain
Cause I know where they will put me in
I'll never see you again
The Lass of Roch Royal, a folk song by Papa M, portrays the sadness and longing of a man who is about to leave his loved one for a far-off land. The lyrics ask poignant questions about who will take care of his lover's pretty little foot, glove her hand, and kiss her red ruby lips in his absence. The song captures the emotions of separation and the fear of losing the love that the man shares with his partner. The melody and the lyrics are quite melancholic, invoking a sense of passion, love, and loss.
The song further captures the symbolism of nature, the pretty little birds who sing sad notes around the lake, bidding goodbye to the man and his lover. The sadness is palpable in the song, with the final lines singing of his broken heart and how he knows where they will put him, indicating a degree of hopelessness and despair. The Lass of Roch Royal is a song that speaks of heartbreak, love, and the pain of separation.

Who is gonna shoe your pretty little foot?
Who will take care of you when I'm gone?
And who is gonna glove your hand?
Who will hold your hand and keep you company?
And who is gonna kiss those red ruby lips
Who will love you and give you affection?
When I'm in that far off land?
When I'm away from you?
The pretty little birds did sing sad notes
The birds sang a mournful tune
They sang around the lake
The birds sang while circling the lake
They sang us a sad little goodbye song
The birds sang a farewell song
Cuz they knew I was going away
Because they knew I was leaving
Oh when my eyes are smiling
Even when I appear happy
My heart is full of pain
I am truly suffering inside
Cause I know where they will put me in
I am aware of my destiny
I'll never see you again
I'll never have the chance to be with you again
