I have been glued to my computer for weeks waiting for more info on this game. I am freaking ecstatic to finally get to see more about the card system. You guys did a phenomenal job with it so far. The idea of being able to upgrade your cards was definitely a good move. This allows us to to pick up small boosts with base cards, and then boost the ones we need when we need them. I can't wait to get my hands on some more info of the game, or even get into the alpha XD. Keep up the awesome work.

One thing that would be really cool and tactical would be to have ingame communications but when we speak our voice gets changed into our hero's voice to make it easier to know whos talking or easier to make a play. it would add so much depth to multiplayer in my opinion. sort of like a voice changing feature

It looks nice, I would make the calling thing a bit more enhanced. Like when you want your team to go to the harvester, you'll want to use quick communication. It might look a bit like smite where you can say things like "attack the fire giant". but it's quick and effective.

Game looks great. Card system is cool and that sprint mechanic is great too. But why teleport gets cancel if any damage taken? Only stuns should cancel your tp i think.

The game honestly looks amazing. seems like the minions may need a little buff in the damage make them scary and should be the focus rather then the other player. I mean take steel at about 30 sec in, see all those minions he was tanking only to lose about 3/4 of a bubble of health. Then again maybe the characters clear isn't that great so its balanced. I dot know. i just cant wait to get into this game.

Please don't call items "Cards". Very poor stigma around that, inherently sounds P2W, and is kind of cheesey to begin with.
"I'm in this epic battle with and against people using technology hundreds of years ahead of real life, brb backing so I can get a card with a picture of a cuirass on it."
Just SAY they're getting the item that they buy, like Smite. There doesn't have to be a visual difference, it just feels better to say "I got an item" instead of "I got a card".

+Jess I disagree. It's way more janky to buy items that have no change of your character. How can you be carrying around 5 swords and using them effectively? How do you wear 6 pieces of chest mail, and still able to walk around like it doesn't exist? I would much rather have a system that actually makes sense.

+Aaron Housh In the same respect, I don't believe printed card stock would help an individual much in physical combat.
Regardless, I'd like a change in terminology despite real-life viability. "Cards" sounds juvenile and isn't all that original, coming from a MOBA claiming to "reinvent" the MOBA genre.

Otherwise the game looks great and I hope they don't plan to monetize the "card", or item, system in a way that is P2W. Which it may be, if we are to look at the article covering the game on TheDailyDot.

+shawn sloth Not for Epic Games, no, but I am a designer, a programmer, and sound designer for one of a thousand different indie groups in Portland. Being as we were specifically asked to participate in the Cartoon Network Game Jam for a potential contract, I'd say I have my foot in the door well enough.
There's nothing wrong with pointing out potential flaws with a game. Critique, warranted or not, should be taken seriously by developers every step of the way, because the best way to sell your game is to cater to the majority.
If my opinion is in the minority (which we have yet to see), I'm fine with that. Regardless, no one should resort to preemptively insulting individuals with differing opinions than themselves when the game has not even reached a beta state. Try waiting for a bit, and if I'm still slinging the same shit after the community forms a mob mentality (ie: "demographic" that Epic will sell to), then you have absolute right to tear me apart.
If you have valid input on development, I'd love to see you on social media and forums, because it's better for everyone if more people talk.

im excited for this game and would really like to try it out, my only concern is the card system while in game. I dont want to sit in base planing my next buy I want to play and engage the enemy or the map even, still havent seen a moba use verticality so hoping that gets some use. or maybe random events that could aid players or change the map thats a more interactive avenue to explore rather than shopping for cards that can aid me?

I love the lack of chat. That will make the game so much better and people won't be as toxic. You should also add a cooldown on the action commands so they can't spam to let people know they're trolling.

can you only play from third person view or is first person view also planned? I presume first person view would be much better suited for melee characters who favor close combat, while third person view will be beneficial to supporters and ranged heroes..

sigh This brings back memories, And I didn't even join this early. Legacy looked Great: and the harvesters lol. to think that Monolith has grown on us. And a new map is still to come!
