The music of Paralysed Age clearly has influences from the post-punk and the new wave era. Marked by this style, influenced by a lot of other genres, like folk and synthpop, Paralysed Age are searching for their own path to modern gothic wave, a sound with a morbid and melancholic character.
Their songs often deal with vampires, bats and other "creatures of the night". Descriptions of fears and nightmares, but also resumes of the night with dreams and hopes are the lyrical path of Paralysed Age. Also, the horror story-like songtexts contain sorrow with a touch of irony - as can also be seen with individuals such as Bram Stoker or Edgar Allan Poe. Edgar Allan Poe inspired much of the music by Paralysed Age.
On their album "Tragedia Nosferata" they were inspired by the Romanian symbolist poet, the "damned" George Bacovia, using one of his poems for one of their song-lyrics.

Mine
Paralysed Age Lyrics

Gods own creation
A shining in the darkest night
So innocent and pure
Shes like an angel child
Naked and bare
Her bloodred lips and crystal eyes
With a pale skin and black hair
With beauty and grace
The moon is shining down on her
Shes dancing with herself
I watch her turning around
With arms outstretched
I see her face to face
And I feel her embrace
She moves close and drags me down
She strikes and pushes me around
She makes me suffer makes me blind
And now she's mine
She holds me tight like no one does
Sometimes she nails me to the cross
She rapes me many many times
And now she's mine
Paralysed Age's song "Mine" tells the story of a man who is deeply infatuated with a woman he sees as a goddess-like figure. She is pure and innocent, yet also dangerous and destructive. The song begins with a description of her physical appearance- blood-red lips, crystal eyes, pale skin, and black hair. The man watches her dance with herself in the moonlight, mesmerized by her beauty and grace. However, as the song progresses, it becomes clear that this woman is not just a fantasy, but a real person who is capable of causing the man pain and suffering. Despite this, he cannot resist her and refers to her as "mine."

on The Grave Shall Be Forever
The grave shall be forever, two fallen flames, still glow on and on,
illumination, and a strange desire, a blossoms for lovers, a lost and the gone,
The grave, shall be forever, The odor ,of heaven again,
The grave, shall be forever ,again, the fate is upon us, the undead has come,
Facing the love, just now or never, my love still glows, to be silent, forever~
The grave, shall be forever, again, hostile and warm, Farewell to the pain,
The grave, shall be forever, The odor, of heaven again,
The grave, shall be forever, again, the fate is upon us, the undead has come,
The grave, shall be forever, two fallen flames, still glow on and on,
illumination, and a strange desire, a blossoms for lovers, a lost and the gone,
A lost and the gone,
A lost and the gone,
A lost, and the gone.............
