Paramore, as a quartet, released their debut studio album, All We Know Is Falling, in 2005. The band rose to prominence in 2007 after the release of the hit single Misery Business from their second studio album Riot!. Crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get were released as the following singles experiencing commercial success. The band was nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2008 Grammy Awards. The band announced the official line-up addition of Taylor York in June 2009 prior to the release of Brand New Eyes due later the same year. Josh Farro (guitar) and his brother Zac Farro left the band the following year, resulting in Paramore to continue as a trio.
From 2013 to 2014, Paramore released several singles from the self-titled album, including the singles Still Into You and Ain't It Fun. The latter became the band's highest-peaking single as well as their first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned the band their first Grammy award for "Best Rock Song" the following year. At the end of 2015, it was reported Jeremy Davis (bass guitar) left the band.
In 2017, Zac Farro officially rejoined the band, prior to the release of their fifth studio album, "After Laughter".

With all the things we said
And not a minute spent
To think that we'd regret
So we just take it back
These words and hold our breath
Forget the things we swore we meant
That I'm alright
Can't say I'm sad to see you go
Cause I'm not (no, I'm not)
Well, I'm not
And here we go again
With all the things we did
And now I'm wondering
Just who would I have been
To be the one attached at all time to your hip
Forget the things we swore we meant
I'll write you just to let you know
That I'm alright
Can't say I'm sad to see you go
Cause I'm not (no, I'm not)
Well, I'm not (no, I'm not)
Oh, oh, ooh (no, I'm not)
I'll write you to let you know
That I'm alright
Can't say I'm sad to see you go
Cause I'm not (no, I'm not)
Well, I'm not (no, I'm not)
I'm not, I'm not
Here we go again
With all the things we said
And not a minute spent
To think that we'd regret
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
Paramore's "Here We Go Again" is a song about the cyclical nature of toxic relationships. The lyrics describe a pattern of saying things we don't mean, regretting them, and then repeating the same mistakes. The first verse alludes to the fact that the people involved in this relationship have been here before: "And here we go again / With all the things we said / And not a minute spent / To think that we'd regret." They are fully aware that their words and actions have consequences, yet they continue making the same mistakes without taking the necessary time to reflect.
The second verse adds another layer to the relationship - a sense of possessiveness. The singer wonders, "Just who would I have been / To be the one attached at all time to your hip." They recognize that being attached to someone's hip 24/7 is not healthy, and that they may have lost themselves in the process. This desire to have complete control over the other person adds to the toxicity of the relationship.
The chorus, "I'll write you just to let you know / That I'm alright / Can't say I'm sad to see you go / Cause I'm not (no, I'm not) / Well, I'm not," is a declaration of independence. While the relationship may have caused pain and regret, the singer is now able to move on and is not sad to see the other person go. The repetition of "I'm not" reinforces this idea and serves as a reminder that the singer is in control of their own happiness.
Overall, the song is a powerful message about the importance of recognizing toxic patterns in relationships and breaking free from them in order to prioritize one's own well-being.

And here we go again
Starting over once more
With all the things we said
Repeating the same empty promises
And not a minute spent
No time given for real reflection
To think that we'd regret
Without considering the consequencess of our actions
So we just take it back
Undoing our words by swallowing them
These words and hold our breath
Feeling relieved after retracting or retracting back our words
Forget the things we swore we meant
Dismissing the past commitments we have made
I'll write you just to let you know
Trying to establish contact even after parting ways
That I'm alright
Trying to pretend that things are going okay
Can't say I'm sad to see you go
Revealing the hidden feeling of relief
Cause I'm not (no, I'm not)
Stating clearly that the departure didn't hurt
Well, I'm not (no, I'm not)
Just to make sure that the message is understood
And now I'm wondering
Pondering what could have been different
Just who would I have been
Questioning identity and the person we have become
To be the one attached at all time to your hip
Envisioning a different and oppressive future
I'll write you to let you know
Repeating the same attempt of contact
Oh, oh, ooh (no, I'm not)
Clarifying again that there is no sadness
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
Repeating again how we go about our regrets
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
Repeating again how we go about our regrets
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
Repeating again how we go about our regrets
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
Repeating again how we go about our regrets
So we just take it back, so we just take it back
Repeating again how we go about our regrets

This entire era of music with Fueled By Ramen was so great. I'm 21 now, but when I was 10-14 my favorite albums came out under FBR. I like going back on these albums and listening to them because it reminds me when I was younger and had no worries in the world. lol
