Review: It was like a horrible car wreck that you couldn't stop watching. You wanted to turn away but your eyes just wouldn't let you do it. The excitement of the blood and carnage caused the dopamine to pour into your bloodstream until you become addicted to the horrible monstrosity that was this episode. The editors must have needed a good bowel movement or had been smoking weed. It was like 'Space Ghost: Coast to Coast' meets 'Birdman: Attourney at Law'. Never before in my life have I wanted to rip off my face to eliminate the senses of my body as this episode continued to drone on.

The use of the successor firm name “CBS Studios” is correct in the 3rd decade of the 21st Century. Today Paramount Global owns Desilu Studio's entire library through two subsidiaries. The CBS unit owns all Desilu properties produced and concluded before 1960. They were sold to CBS by Desilu itself. Paramount Global’s “CBS Studios” unit owns the rights to everything Desilu produced after 1960 (i.e., the entire Star Trek franchise) as a successor in interest to Paramount Television.

So if this “Lost Episode” was in the film, can before December 29, 1967. It was created by the original logoed; Desilu company. As one of the many film franchise achievements, still raking in cash 70+ years later. Oh, and see you all at the 2023 “Mission Impossible” theater opening this summer!

I, too was surprised to see the header. I wondered WHY such an incident hadn't been discussed in the book "Caotain's Logs: The Unauthorized Complete Trek Voyages". That book chronicles all episodes from the 1st-4th different trek series. And when this got going, I'd 1st wondered if it was "just me" Then when I saw bits & pieces of actual episodes cut & pasted together, I knew it was garbage.

First the color here is superb, nothing like what was coming through our new tech color TV in 1965! There were only three colors, red yellow and green, Star Trek was the only show on where the colors made sense, aside from most of the crew all other characters were red yellow or green! LOL Never missed an episode except this one. I grew up watching Flash Gordon in the 50's so I was ready for ST, not so much for color TV. It really took some getting used to, gave me a new appreciation for black and white!

Being a Star Trek tragic, I was caught like so many others by the unseen episode of Star Trek heading.
I managed to weather 15 minutes of this mind bendingly dopey mishmash. I did however get a laugh out of a DeForest Kelly roaring back at a horned Yeti like creature in its own languge/roar at the 15 minute mark. It was about then I decide to go and mow the lawn or was it scrub out the shower recess?
Well that's 15 minutes of my life that I won't get back. Ya gotta laugh.

In 1967 Paramount/Desilu was making Star Trek and CBS was making their own show Lost In Space. The whole fake intro card should have been enough of a clue that something was a little off.

Come to think of it, I'd like to see Lost in Space get this kind of Lynchian makeover.

Brandon, I admire your use of first-person plural point of view, simile, metaphor, anaphora, and climax. One part that was unclear to me is the antecedent of "them" in line seven. Is it "Those who enjoy suffering"? If so, does that make the speaker someone who does not enjoy suffering? And does the speaker then pit those who enjoy suffering against those who do not, and is this related to attitudes about work? I thought this section could be made more clear. I admire the "vertebrae" of the clock, which hearkens back to the image of "backs bent over," setting up an interesting contrast. I encourage you to submit your poem to Omega.

I pride myself on being able to name (or if I can't recall the name to at least describe) any ep of TOS by watching any 10 second (or less) clip. This just gives me practice.

What happened? I thought Kirk would get the brunette girl doctor and the blonde nurse would finally get Spock to be friends, but the space monkeys proved to be dumber than mibbles without their needed cheese break! That was one of the best stories lines ever dubbed! When is the sequel to be found? Can wait it out for sure.

My brother and I are (were) big fans of the original STAR-TREK. I was pumped to see a lost episode.. I have been suckered many times on "CLICK-BATE," so I decided to watch it before I shared it with him.. THANK GOODNESS I DID. He would have kicked my azz if I sent him this 💩
