Jalat hipoo maan pintaa
Sano jotain latteeta
Ja jotain ihanaa
Sano jotain ettei hiljaisuus vie mukanaan
Sano "Ota mun vaatteet"
Sano jotain, mitä vaan
Kato, siteeraa vaan jotain Pentti Holappaa
Sä oot jotenkin niin viilee
Voitas puhua kai jostain
Mut sä oot hiljainen
kuin maaseutumaisema kesäyöllä
kun on tyyntä ja usva leijuu veden päällä
yhtä kauniisti kuin sä keinut siinä vierellä
Sano jotain latteeta
Ja jotain ihanaa
Sano jotain ettei hiljaisuus vie mukanaan
Sano "Ota mun vaatteet"
Sano jotain, mitä vaan
Kato siteeraa vaan jotain, jotain Holappaa
Sano ota mun vaatteet
Sano jotain mitä vaan
Kato siteeraa vaan jotain Pentti Holappaa
The lyrics of Pariisin Kevät's song "Pentti Holappa" describe an encounter between the singer and someone they are interested in. The singer feels electrified and larger than life, yet they are unable to connect with the other person who remains silent and enigmatic. Despite this, the singer is determined to take them home and tries to coax them into speaking. They suggest saying something "lame" and something "lovely" to break the silence, and even quotes the Finnish poet Pentti Holappa in an attempt to impress them. The song ends with the repeated line "Sano ota mun vaatteet / Sano jotain mitä vaan / Kato siteeraa vaan jotain Pentti Holappaa" (Say take off my clothes / Say something, anything / Look, just quote something from Pentti Holappa).
The song's lyrics have been interpreted as a commentary on modern dating and communication. The singer embodies the anxiety and detachment that can arise from the digital age's constant stimulation and online connections. They are unable to convey their emotions effectively and instead resort to quoting someone else's words. The song title references Pentti Holappa, a poet and critic who is widely considered one of the most important Finnish literary figures of the 20th century.

Mä oon kilometrejä korkee
I feel as tall as kilometers, as if I'm reaching for the sky
Jalat hipoo maan pintaa
But my feet are still grounded, touching the earth
Mä oon kuuro ja sokee
Even though I'm tall, I cannot hear nor see
Mun läpi kulkee sähkövirtaa
But I feel electrified, like a current running through me
Hei, mä näin sut jo kaukaa
Hey, I saw you from afar
Näyteikkunan kaunein
You were the most beautiful thing in the shop window
Mä aion viedä sut nyt himaan
I want to take you home with me
Mä vaikka soitan jotain biisejä
I'll even play some songs for you
Mut sä oot hiljainen
But you're quiet
Kuin maaseutumaisema kesäyöllä
Like the peaceful countryside on a summer night
Kun on tyyntä ja usva leijuu veden päällä
When it's calm and a mist hovers over the water
Yhtä kauniisti kuin sä keinut siinä vierellä
You sway just as beautifully by my side
Sano jotain latteeta
Say something cliché
Ja jotain ihanaa
And something lovely
Sano jotain ettei hiljaisuus vie mukanaan
Say something so that silence won't take over
Sano "Ota mun vaatteet"
Say "Take off my clothes"
Sano jotain, mitä vaan
Say anything at all
Kato, siteeraa vaan jotain Pentti Holappaa
Look, just quote something from Pentti Holappa
Sä oot jotenkin niin viilee
You're somehow so cool
Voitas puhua kai jostain
We could talk about something
Sano ota mun vaatteet
Say take off my clothes
Sano jotain mitä vaan
Say anything at all
Kato siteeraa vaan jotain Pentti Holappaa
Look, just quote something from Pentti Holappa
