Let
Parker Lyrics

You had the feeling that we wouldn't work
But I had that feeling, that feeling first
We're not forever
So one day we'll hurt
But if we don't try it then we'll never learn
You're probably not gonna be the one
We're probably here just having fun
Three months in I know we could be done
Yes I know that
You and I we are just kids
We don't have no common sense
It would be easier to turn and run I know
Yes I know, yes I know
But will you love me, love me
Love me till you let me go
Let me go
Right when I met you
I saw the signs
Give me some credit the love hasn't made me blind
You'll be the artist
And I'll be your muse
And when the painting is finished we'll move on
There's a small chance you'll be the one
And even if not we're having fun
Better off than if we never know
Oh ooh oh yeah
You and I we are just kids
So we don't need no common sense
It would be easier to turn and just go home
Yes I know, yes I know
But will you love me, love me
Love me till you let me go
Let me go
We could stop before we start
We could both go home apart
But I wanna, wanna, wanna go on
I will never bring you harm
So let me fall into your arms
We are fallen from the stars
So will you love me, love me
Love me til you let me go

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" reveals the singer's eagerness to make love to his partner. The song is about an intense desire to connect with a person emotionally and physically, to let go of any inhibitions and be honest with one's deepest feelings. The opening line, "I've been tryin' baby, tryin' to hold back this feeling for so long," implies that the singer has been holding back his emotions for a while, but now he feels confident and eager to express himself. The repeated refrain of "Let's get it on" is both an invitation to intimacy and a seductive challenge. Gaye strives to create an atmosphere of intimacy and openness.

The lyrics contain numerous metaphors and suggestive imagery that contribute to the song's sensual mood. For example, "Stop beating 'round the bush" is a poetic way of saying "Let's get to the point." The next words, "Let's get it on," are straightforward and explicit, expressing the singer's irresistible urge to make love to his partner. The lyric "I'm asking you baby to get it on with me" emphasizes the singer’s desire for mutual engagement and passion. The song conveys a message of passion and sexual desire and encourages two people to come together and connect with one another.

didnt candice's husband put one of parkers brother in hospital ???

@CalebLeverett

Sort of. Jason May whipped him, but he wasn’t taken to a regular hospital like I tried to get done. Instead, his mother had him locked up in a mental hospital twice for a week at a time. He spent his 14th birthday locked up in the Nix on Babcock in San Antonio, which has since been shut down because of mismanagement and lawsuits.

I hate when people forget that the father is an equal parent.

Depends on the situation.
