Together they have scored literally hundreds of projects from feature films (including this year's critically acclaimed CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN (2006)) and television series to many of today's most prominent film trailers.
A couple of their most popular recordings for trailers include "THE LAST SAMURAI" and the version of the James Bond Theme included in the GOLDENEYE, TOMORROW NEVER DIES, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH & DIE ANOTHER DAY campaigns.
Most notably Starr Parodi has recently released her new solo piano CD entitled COMMON PLACES which earned the following review from Keyboard magazine:
Starr Parodi’s latest CD, co-produced by husband Jeff Fair, may be subtitled “Piano Improvisations,” but it often includes a bit more than normal piano. Creative games were sparingly and tastefully played with a few piano samples, such as reverse playback, slow note attacks, and, in a brilliant instrumental cover of Stephen Stills’ “For What It’s Worth,” a pulsing rhythm pattern generated by passing piano chords through an LFO-modulated filter, reminiscent of the Pete Townsend organ part in the Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” I’m not a habitual solo piano listener, so I felt some skeptical trepidation when feeding a piano CD into my drive. No worries. Parodi’s pianistic sense and delivery go way beyond creative. Words that come to mind while listening to Common Places include imaginative, courageous, dynamic, passionate, gutsy, pensive, restrained, and euphoric. I’m thoroughly entranced by the whole experience. Mark Vail
