I hope He remembers me. My biggest fear is Him telling me "I never knew you." I'm afraid something I do in this life will ruin any chance I have of being in His Kingdom. Over and over I find myself asking to be covered in His blood and protected, to be forgiven of horrible thoughts I might have had that day or mean words I have spoken to someone. I'm not perfect. Who among us is? I feel like I annoy God asking for His mercy so often. You keep asking how does someone do this and do that, how does a persons death on a cross atone for other peoples sins? Because God says it did, we are the creation, yet we demand to know all the secrets to life and creation. It's amazing that we are so selfish, yet in our selfishness and our darkness, God sent Jesus, to walk, talk, eat and drink, like us. To be the example to us, to be the ONLY person to be sinless, because he had not a human father, and his mother was pure, He didn't enter into a sinful nature like all of us. He became the perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins. His blood shed on the cross now covers us before the Fathers eyes, when we take covenant with Jesus, the Holy Spirit then covers us in the lambs blood, safe and righteous to the Father. God is Holy and perfect, therefore sin doesn't have a place near Him. We are covered by the blood Jesus shed. Just like the lambs blood over the doorways when death swept Egypt. Gods ways and thoughts are higher than ours... we must accept at some point, our minds cannot comprehend creation and human life, etc, that's why we are called to have faith. the Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus, not by our own efforts, but grace alone and faith alone. This is Gods GIFT to us, to be reconciled to Him after our selfishness and sin got in the way.

Think about the relationship between a parent and a newborn baby. We had my son a couple of years ago. When he was first born, he was absolutely helpless. He depended on us to live. We had to meet literally all of his needs, every hour of the day. He couldn't give us anything in return.

But I can tell you this... I didn't need him to give me a thing. I just loved him, not for what he did for me, but just for who he is. He's my son and I love him.

I think that's the way God the Father feels about us, who are in Christ. God knows we're weak, poor and helpless without him. He knows we can't give him anything that he doesn't already own. He doesn't have any needs for us to meet. But God doesn't think like that at all. He just loves us for who we are... his children. His own newborn sons and daughters. ❤

I have read the Bible many times and the passages about Jesus being beaten and tortured do no justice to the imagination. This movie brings it home about the reality of what He endured before the crucifiction. I am glad it was brought to life in this movie so a clear understanding of what occured is possible. I think it was genuinely a difficult subject for the disciples to talk about. The crucifixion accounts in the gospels are light on details. Death by crucifixion is one of the worst and most horrible ways to go. Isaiah says that "his form was marred beyond human likeness". He was degraded, humiliated, and mutilated. He was rejected, taunted, despised and forsaken. Sin is a horrible thing and on the cross Jesus Christ became sin for us. It must have been awful to look at him up there. This helps me resist sin too. It helps me understand that Christ endured more severe suffering and a deeper darkness than I will ever fathom, to save me.

The hot glow came in and went through my whole body and left at my feet. I didn't know wat happend. The next day, I thought, I have to try it again, but my voice said, dont do this because then it looks like you have your doubts about is. I know it sounds crazy but that is not my problem. I know only one persone who understands me. Somme people asked me to teach it, but the only thing you have to do is 100% believe in The One from Above or wathever you want to call it. You're not understanding well, my friend. The point of this entire sequence of events that led to this point in Jesus' death was to help those who didn't believe in God to know him through Jesus. To love him because if you loved Jesus, you loved God. So, when came time to reunite the father and the son, Jesus happily took on the responsibility of sacrificing himself for us. To save us. Through his death, the souls down under were rescued and taken to paradise. He made others believe that he was the true son of God and that every single one of their beliefs that there was a God was confirmed. It was the most beautiful thing to know that their prayers were being heard.

this scene speaks freaking volumes. I had a family friend of mine who’s mother wasn’t doing well health wise going into holy week and was on a kidney transplant list. Out of all days, i receive a call from my boy that his mom is having surgery as their was a kidney available. The donor was a prisoner who overdose. I in no way condone whatever that individual did but that persons history reminded me of this scene bc i knew that jesus forgave him for his wrongdoings. Having that kidney of his donated to my boys mother was a the sign of jesus having him enter his kingdom. god is good all the time. I’m thankful every day to be raised in a catholic latino household and have the faith of christ be such a strong foundation in my home.

But the problem with many of us is that when they say god it means Almighty God, which Jesus is not. He is god because he is the son of the Almighty God and the only begotten son by the father. Meaning Jesus was the first creation of the Almighty God. That’s why in John 1:1, it says in the beginning, means Jesus was the beginning of creation. Then everything was created by God thru Jesus. He is the “master worker” in Proverbs 8:30. If we have the right perspective there will be no confusions.

I would suggest that many Christian denominations would disagree with you on this point. Indeed, he is supposedly God the Son, a person of the Trinity of God which in itself is problematic as this claim infers a polytheistic structure. You cannot separate these elements if you wish to avoid the polytheistic perspective. An entity cannot be three separate parts of the same thing because each part would still be part of the same entity, part of the whole. So Jesus is god incarnate, he is god. Indeed, Jesus says things like, "Before Abraham was, I am." And, "I and the Father are one," and, "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father." This is a confirmation he is almighty god and this is what your theology asserts.

It seems to me there is only ever confusion in the claims of Christianity. You'd think an all powerful and all knowing god would manage to convey a wholly coherent and unambiguous message, one he would completely protect throughout the ages and not have it recorded in languages it knew would die. But that's not the case is it....
