You made me cry
When you said goodbye
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame
You' re the one to blame

You broke my heart
When you said we're apart
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame
You' re the one to blame

Oh well goodbve
Although I'll cry
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame
You' re the one to blame

You made me cry
When you said goodbye
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame
You' re the one to blame

Oh well goodbve
Although I'll cry
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain

Ain't that a shame
You' re the one to blame

A #1 hit for Pat Boone that also hit #14 on the Rhythm & Blues charts and #7 in the United Kingdom. It would finish at #9 for the year, 1955. 1955 was the year that the music scene changed forever when on July 9, Bill Haley and His Comets hit #1 with Rock Around the Clock, signifying the beginning of the Rock Era.

@Labaron26

You are correct..I lived in Pittsburgh and the local network radio stations would not play Fats Domino's version...however, all of the teenage audience would tune in the smaller stations like WHOD in Homestead, WMCK in Mckeesport, and WLOA in Braddock to hear it.

@Taharah007
