If We Love Him
Patch Crowe Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Love is more than just a word
It′s more than just a feeling in our souls
Love is why He came to earth
To be the hope we turn to
When we feel alone

We can love like He loves us
When we walk in His footsteps
If we love, if we love Him we will show Him

We'll go and serve our neighbor with an open heart
Find the heavy hands and try to lift them up
Live the way He lived and do the things He taught
If we love Him
If we love Him
If we love Him
If we love Him

He has given us direction
So that He can bless us with His grace
As we show Him that we love Him
Follow what He says
We′ll be forever changed

We can love like He loves us
When we walk in His footsteps
If we love, if we love Him, we will show Him

We'll go and serve our neighbor with an open heart
Find the heavy hands and try to lift them up
Live the way He lived and do the things He taught
If we love Him
If we love Him
If we love Him
If we love Him

When we love, everything changes
His love sustains us
So we'll take all the love that He gave us
That He gave us

And go and serve our neighbor with an open heart
Find the heavy hands and try to lift them up
Live the way He lived and do the things He taught
If we love Him

We′ll go and serve our neighbor with an open heart
Find the heavy hands and try to lift them up
Live the way He lived and do the things He taught
If we love Him
If we love Him

Overall Meaning

The Patch Crowe song "If We Love Him" is a powerful expression of the depth and transformative nature of true love. The song discusses the idea that love is more than just a word or a feeling, but rather a force that drives us to serve and care for others. In particular, the song focuses on the idea that our love for God can inspire us to live according to his teachings and serve our neighbors.

The lyrics emphasize that love is the reason that Jesus came to earth, and that his love can sustain us through difficult times. The song encourages listeners to follow in Jesus' footsteps by serving others with an open heart and trying to lift them up. The message of the song is that by living in this way, we can demonstrate our love for God and be forever changed by his grace.

One interpretation of the song is that it encourages listeners to move beyond simply feeling love in their hearts, towards actively expressing that love through their actions. The song reminds us that loving our neighbors is a tangible way to show our love for God, and that by serving others we can transform both ourselves and the world around us.

Since am the first person to make a comment about this song on this page, let me go straight to the point. I find that Patch crowe has some nice songs. but how would you feel,if you were in a room with many other people, and Jesus was physically there too. And Jesus was saying so many good things about you, praising you and telling you how much He loves you, without mentioning your name. How will you feel? Many people in that room will think that He was talking about them, having the same feeling that He meant them since he wasn't specific by calling that individual's name....Now that is How God feels about most of Patch Crowe's songs. You sang about Him but never mentioned Jesus or God. That's the latest ways satan is using some singers to deprive God taking the glory in your songs. If you love someone, call him/her by name and let that person know that you love them.By so doing, your message becomes more personal to the person. 😞 God/Jesus does not have THEIR names as decorations. The bible says, " I will call upon the lord who is worthy to be praised". (psalms 18:3)
