My calling is to use music as a means to bring about positive change and this is what I have been tasked to do by a higher power

The actions of Americans and their government are contributing to the imminent destruction of the world

We ain't got no hoods, we have real slums
Where I come from, the problems we face are not just confined to the stereotypical gang-occupied neighborhoods found in America

Where ten year olds have you leaving
In my community, children as young as 10 are capable of inflicting serious harm on others

On two hands with two stumps
They have no problem severely injuring their victims

And no clothes and no funds
These children are growing up in extreme poverty

I was deep down in a hole giving up my life once
I reached a point in my life where I was suicidal and had lost all hope

So insecure I couldn't even see the sky once
My self-doubt was so severe that I couldn't even see the beauty of the natural world around me

So my energy would grow out of silence
But through my struggles, I found strength and resolve in the power of quiet introspection.

I am often asked how I plan to make a difference in the world

I will change it with my hands
I will take action and put in the work required to bring about meaningful change

We haffi response before the rivers run dry
We must act now, before it is too late and our natural resources are depleted

And the stars fall from the sky these days
We are facing an unprecedented global crisis

Love is just a word but I will try and'
Even if the concept of love seems unrealistic or trite, I will still strive to embody it in my actions and interactions with others

I'm gonna pave the way
I am committed to blazing a trail for others to follow towards a better future

I failed, I lied, betrayed, got played
I have made mistakes, lied to others, and been taken advantage of at times

Was scared, was blind, not straight, had hate
I have struggled with fear, lack of vision, confusion, and anger

Gone astray, was lost, was vain, loved fame
At times, I have lost my way, felt without purpose, focused too much on superficial concerns, and lusted after recognition and attention

But my strength of today lays in yesterday's pain
But I recognize that my past struggles have made me stronger and have given me the resilience and motivation needed to make a positive impact today

I stole, was sold, was bold, I chilled
I have engaged in criminal activity, been taken advantage of financially, been brave in the face of adversity, and taken time to relax and reflect

I killed, I fell, I rose, you know
I have been both a perpetrator of violence and a victim, but I have also overcome my obstacles and emerged stronger

I've lost a fight before
I have experienced defeat and disappointment in the past

But I won't lose the war
But I will not give up in the face of adversity and will continue to fight for what I believe in

This ain't about the bad ones
This message is not directed at those who are intentionally malicious or harmful

It's about the one who no care
It's directed at those who are apathetic or indifferent to the state of the world

Who's too fat to be bothered
Who is too comfortable or complacent to do anything about it

Too lazy and scared
Who lacks the motivation or courage to take action

To whom changing this world
For those who view the idea of making a positive change in the world

Would mean send his world to hell
As something that would bring about an uncomfortable or unwelcome upheaval in their lives

And destroy an illusion
Would uproot a comforting or delusional belief they hold about the world

That served him so well
That has helped them avoid confronting the uncomfortable realities of the world and their role in it

Good things never come easy
Positive change or progress is not achieved easily or without effort

Start with reflection of self
The first step towards positive change is to look inward and reflect on one's own behavior and attitudes

To some this might sound cheesy
Some may view this message as trite or unhelpful

But the truth afi tell
But it is an important and true message

Some caught up in survival
Some people are so focused on basic survival needs that they can't imagine focusing on larger societal issues

Think it's them that need help
They believe that they are the ones who need assistance rather than the ones who can help bring about change

You never know that material
People often do not realize that material goods and wealth do not equate to true wealth or happiness

Could never be wealth
True wealth is measured in intangible things like love, compassion, and meaningful relationships
