The song Splash by Patrice Roberts is a vibrant, energetic and catchy soca tune that celebrates the sensuality of a woman's body. From the chorus, it is evident that the song is about a woman who is dancing provocatively, causing her body to get wet, which is what men prefer. In the first verse, Patrice sings about the power of her dance moves, which can make a man divorce his wife in search of her intimacy. She suggests that it's better to be single for those looking to "mingle, mingle."
In the pre-chorus, Patrice indicates that men want to taste her "sweet, sweet juice," insinuating that they are interested in her sexually. However, she makes it clear that she won't give in easily, and they have to work for it. In the second verse, she talks about her appeal, saying that she is blossoming and looking dreamy, and there is steam everywhere she goes because of how she moves her body. The pre-chorus and chorus repeat, emphasizing the idea that men prefer wet women, and one has to "work for this ride."
Overall, the song is lively and full of energy, bringing to life the concept of a woman's sensuality through dance. Patrice highlights the power of a woman's body and sends the message that women should take pride in their bodies and work on their sensuality.
