I Believe
Patricia Manterola Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I believe in visions
I believe in love
I believe in magic, but this is not enough
I believe in freedom
I believe in dreams
I believe in heroes, but this is not enough
I believe in faith, in knowledge I can learn
I believe all what you give, you get returned
[Bridge 1:]
And I'm afraid we place our life in other peoples hands
I realized on earth we're all the same, we need a chance
[Verse 2:]
I believe in life there's more than wrong or right
I believe in colours there's no black or white
[Bridge 2:]
And you don't know what you have got until you say goodbye
But in my dreams one day I spread my wings and I will fly
[Midpart:]
I believe my dream can be reality
I believe my time on earth is destiny
[Midpart Choir:]
Oh I, I believe
Now - we are strong enough
Oh I, I believe
We - are - strong enough
In Patricia Manterola's song "I Believe," she expresses her belief in different aspects of life. The chorus starts with the statement, "I believe in visions, I believe in love, I believe in magic, but this is not enough." Here, Manterola expresses her belief in imagination, affection, and wonder but states that they are not sufficient. She believes in freedom, dreams, and heroes. Manterola believes that faith is crucial and that we learn from knowledge. In the first verse, she also believes that you get what you give.
In the two bridges, Manterola reflects on life and the human condition. She believes that we put our lives in others' hands and that we all need a chance. She believes that life is more than just right or wrong and that there are always shades of grey in between. She believes that you don't realize what you've got until it's gone, but in her dreams, she will spread her wings one day and fly.
In the midpart, Manterola reinforces her belief that her dreams can become a reality and that her time on earth is her destiny. The midpart choir emphasizes her belief that "we are strong enough." In essence, Patricia Manterola's song "I Believe" is a beautiful expression of hope, faith, and determination to achieve her dreams.
