The lyrics of Patrick Fiori's Arretons La speaks about living life to the fullest and cherishing the present moment. The opening verse remarks how in the past, we would laugh and play carelessly, ignoring the fact that death could be around the corner. The line "Comme on dessine un enfer" or "like we draw a hell" alludes to the idea that we create our own version of hell by living recklessly and not appreciating each moment. The following verse emphasizes the importance of remembering the feeling of being in control of our lives and achieving our dreams. The line "Souviens-toi être le roi" or "remember being the king" signifies that we all have the power to make the most of our lives.
The chorus takes on a more urgent tone, imploring the listener to seize the moment and appreciate what they have, as opposed to constantly seeking for something better. The line "le paradis c'est d'être là" or "paradise is being here" suggests that true contentment and happiness comes from being present and living in the moment. The second verse offers a more reflective view on life and how we should cherish the simple moments, as opposed to always striving for more. The final chorus is more assertive, with the singer vowing to not let the listener go, urging them to stay and appreciate what they have.
Overall, the lyrics of Arretons La is a powerful message about appreciating what we have and living in the present, as opposed to always seeking for something more. It is a poignant reminder to cherish every moment, and not take life for granted.

Hear my cry, what do you think,
I won't let you go like this,
Si on déclarait la trêve
If we declared a truce,

Sur un banc comme deux petits vieux
On a bench like two little old people,
On serait pas si malheureux rêver encore
We wouldn't be so unhappy, still dreaming.
Hey, look at me, challenge the light, don't go there,
Hear my cry, what do you think,
I won't let you go like this.
