I been told when a boy kiss a girl
She takes a trip around the world, yeah-yeah
Hey-hey, hey-hey
Hey-hey
Hey, please say you do

Mama says, when you kiss my lips
I get a thrill through my fingertips, yeah-yeah (shap, shoo-bop, shap-shap, shoo-bop)
Hey-hey, hey-hey (shap, shoo-bop, shap-shap, shoo-bop)
Hey-hey (shap, shoo-bop, shap-shap, shoo-bop)
Hey, please say you do (shap, shoo-bop, shap-shap, shoo-bop)

Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Don't ya know I mean boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Don't ya know I mean boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Hey, what a bundle of joy (yeah-yeah, boys)

Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Don't ya know I mean boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Don't ya know I mean boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Hey, what a bundle of joy (yeah-yeah, boys)
Boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Ya know I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Well, boys (yeah-yeah, boys)

Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah, boys)
Well, I'm talkin' 'bout boys (yeah-yeah)

@@dwaynewardell8024 June 28, 1965, thanks. I just saw that TV Special ("It's What's Happening, Baby!") last night (8/14/21) on PBS during their fundraising drive, and it was great. Murray The "K" was a great host.

This was the clip they showed of Patti LaBelle & Her Bluebelles.

Some of the other performers were:
Herman's Hermits "Mrs Brown...."
Chuck Jackson "l Don't Want To Cry"
Johnny Rivers "Seventh Son"
The Ronettes "Be My Baby" and
Martha & The Vandellas.

We are lucky to have Patti LaBelle today, giving her flowers as she's been in the game over 60 years and still singing.

@skepchica

YES!!! Patti is such a gift. She's been in the music business and RELEVANT, for longer than some people live. That's my baby. πŸ’œπŸ’œ

@troysterling1382

She blew this song out the box in 1986 at Motown from the Apollo! Watch that performance and you never walk alone!

@Mimi-cg2cw

I'm 69 I had to share this with my baby..she's 39. I saw LeBellle in concert in the 70'd Patti Nona and Sarah

I'm here because Rolling Stone just released their 200 best singers list and Beyonce was #8 but Patti Labelle wasn't even in the top 40. THIS is singing. THIS is a voice. Beyonce is average at best. They even said dreadful "singer" Bob Dylan was 18.
Btw, Patti was just a teenager in this video.

@nesq4104

It's a travesty. A teenager with this much power and passion is a rarity. Only aretha and jennifer holliday had this much power and passion as teen singers.

@@nesq4104 ...They vocally rule the roost amoungst the other girl groups of the day.

Yes. I remember the play and how audiences were stunned. Everybody talked about it. Even today few have the voice of Jennifer Holiday

@TDS927

Beyonce is just contemporary fluff. Patti runs circles around all these young singers. Period.
