In 1974 and 1975, she recorded for Avco Records, and, in 1981, recorded for Plantation Records, her most recent record label. Page's most recent single to appear on any Billboard chart was the 1982 #80 country single, "My Man Friday". (She last appeared on the pop chart in 1968, with her version of O.C. Smith's hit, "Little Green Apples", and on the Adult Contemporary chart with "Give Him Love" in 1971.)
Page made the country chart in up to 1983, with her biggest hit during that time being "Hello, We're Lonely," a 1973 #14 duet with Tom T. Hall.
In the 1990s, Page started her own label, C.A.F. Records. In 1998, she won a Grammy as "Best Traditional Pop Singer". Page continued to record into the new millenium with the CDs BRAND NEW TENNESSEE WALTZ, SWEET SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS (2002), CHILD OF MINE (2003) and her last 2009 release BEST OF COUNTRY. Many of her songs have a strong beat to them that prelude rock 'n' roll. These titles include "Mister and Mississippi", "Detour" and "Cross Over the Bridge". In 1956, she married choreographer Charles O'Curran. They adopted two children, a daughter, Kathleen, and a son, Daniel O'Curran.
Four Walls
Patti Page Lyrics

You're drawn like a moth to a flame
You laugh while the wine's over-flowing
While I sit and whisper your name
Four walls to hear me
Four walls to see
Four walls too near me
Sometimes I ask why I'm waiting
But my walls have nothing to say
I'm made for love, not for hateing
So here where you've left me, I'll stay
One night with you is like heaven
And so, while I'm walking the floor
I'll listen for steps in the hallway
And wait for your knock on my door
Four walls to hear me
Four walls to see
Four walls too near me
Closing in on me
The song "Four Walls," sung by Patti Page, is about a woman who is left alone in a room, longing for the man she loves. She hears the noise and laughter from outside, where people are enjoying themselves in the bright lights, while she sits in a room whispering his name. The woman is trapped by her emotions and the four walls that surround her. The walls are closing in on her, signifying her suffocation as she thinks about him. She longs for his company and waits for the moment he'll knock on her door.
The lyrics in the chorus suggest that the four walls are a representation of the woman's feelings of being trapped and confined. The walls are closing in on her, giving her a feeling of being suffocated. The woman is impatient and longing for her lover's arrival, but at the same time, she knows deep down that the walls contain her feelings of hope, love and desire, and keep them safe.
The meaning of the song is powerful as it portrays the emotions of a woman who is longing for her lover's company. Through the lyrics, it becomes apparent that the woman is holding onto the hope that one day he'll return to her, even though he's not there presently.

Out where the bright lights are glowing
You're attracted to the excitement of the outside world
You're drawn like a moth to a flame
You can't resist the allure of the bright lights
You laugh while the wine's over-flowing
You enjoy yourself when you're surrounded by intoxicating substances
While I sit and whisper your name
I'm left alone, thinking of you
Four walls to hear me
The walls are my only companions
Four walls to see
The walls are the only things I can look at
Four walls too near me
The walls feel like they're closing in on me
Closing in on me
I feel trapped and overwhelmed
Sometimes I ask why I'm waiting
I question why I'm still here, waiting for you
But my walls have nothing to say
I'm left with no answers, just my solitary walls
I'm made for love, not for hateing
I'm a lover, not a hater
So here where you've left me, I'll stay
I'll remain in this bleak, lonely place where you abandoned me
One night with you is like heaven
Being with you is the best feeling in the world
And so, while I'm walking the floor
I pace around anxiously, waiting for you
I'll listen for steps in the hallway
I strain my ears, hoping to hear you approaching
And wait for your knock on my door
I eagerly anticipate your arrival
