In 1974 and 1975, she recorded for Avco Records, and, in 1981, recorded for Plantation Records, her most recent record label. Page's most recent single to appear on any Billboard chart was the 1982 #80 country single, "My Man Friday". (She last appeared on the pop chart in 1968, with her version of O.C. Smith's hit, "Little Green Apples", and on the Adult Contemporary chart with "Give Him Love" in 1971.)
Page made the country chart in up to 1983, with her biggest hit during that time being "Hello, We're Lonely," a 1973 #14 duet with Tom T. Hall.
In the 1990s, Page started her own label, C.A.F. Records. In 1998, she won a Grammy as "Best Traditional Pop Singer". Page continued to record into the new millenium with the CDs BRAND NEW TENNESSEE WALTZ, SWEET SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS (2002), CHILD OF MINE (2003) and her last 2009 release BEST OF COUNTRY. Many of her songs have a strong beat to them that prelude rock 'n' roll. These titles include "Mister and Mississippi", "Detour" and "Cross Over the Bridge". In 1956, she married choreographer Charles O'Curran. They adopted two children, a daughter, Kathleen, and a son, Daniel O'Curran.

Would I love you, love you, love you
To take you in my arms
Has always been my goal
Sure as there's a moon above you
Would I love you, love you, love you
With all my heart and soul
With all my heart and soul
You ask me, would I love you if you let me
Eyes that see are eyes that know
Would I love you? What a question
When I'm yearning so
Oh, for just the chance to love you
Would I love you, love you, love you
To take you in my arms
Has always been my goal
Sure as there's a moon above you
Would I love you, love you, love you
With all my heart and soul
With all my heart and soul
Would I love you? What a question
When I'm yearning so
Oh, for just the chance to love you
Would I love you, love you, love you
To take you in my arms
Has always been my goal
Sure as there's a moon above you
Would I love you, love you, love you
With all my heart and soul
With all my heart and soul
The lyrics of Patti Page's song "Would I Love You" express the intense desire to love someone and take them into one's arms. The singer longs for the chance to express their love and declares that they would love with all their heart and soul. The lyrics suggest that the person they want to love is hesitant or unsure about whether the singer truly loves them, but the singer's response is that their eyes can see and know the truth of their feelings. The repetition of the phrase "Would I love you, love you, love you" emphasizes the depth and sincerity of the singer's love.
The singer's use of figurative language in the lyrics, such as referencing the moon above the person and the goal of taking them in their arms, further adds to the romantic and passionate tone of the song. The repetition of the phrase "with all my heart and soul" further underscores the intensity of the singer's feelings.
Overall, "Would I Love You" is a lyrical expression of intense and passionate love, with a persistent longing for the opportunity to love someone and the unwavering declaration of love that would come with that chance.

My late Dad would hear this when he had a few drinks and he's start to sob. He said it reminded him of some close Army buddies that died in Combat in Korea when hew was there in 1951

I had this tune on a music box (powder puff metal) which I received on my 6th or 7th birthday in the early 1950's. I played it so much that the tip of one of the tines broke off - still played it anyway. The box fell apart - played it manually by turning the wheel. Finally tossed it out when I went to collage in 1965. Missed it all these years and would love to have it recreated. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you find yourself in this corner of youtube you're listening to a song which was a huge hit for a very nice man called Harold Spina. You may not have heard of him - so google him. Harold was a successful composer, producer and businessman. I know this because I rented a flat on the ground floor of his house at 2232 Vista Del Mar in Los Angeles, just off Beechwood Canyon. I was there for 2 years, leaving to return to the UK in May 1997. Harold died aged 91 that summer.
I too worked in the music industry and we spent some time talking about the differences between my time and his, and the people like Bob Hope and Anthony Quinn, and many more who sang his songs.
Harold was a character and I'm very grateful that our paths crossed, if briefly. Thank you, Harold.
