Used to be supersticious
Looking out for a hidden sign
Always crossing my fingers
But I was waisting my time
I was searching for something
Because you took some persuading
But it was worth waiting for
Cause there's no doubt about it
You're the best thing that's happened to me
No doubt about it
I'm right where I wanna be
I can always remember
The first thing you said to me
Always follow your feelings
Be true to what you believe
Love don't come easy
Finally it has come to me
I'm so glad I've plenty of it
All the love I need
Cause there's no doubt about it
You're the best thing that's happened to me
No doubt about it
I'm right where I wanna be
No doubt about it
You're the best thing that's happened to me
There's no doubt about it
Girl, I'm right where I wanna be
Woo Woohoo
Used to be under pressure
There's so much on my worried mind
I was tired and entangled
That I could never unwind
You taught me something
Something I will never forget
Life just keeps getting better
You ain't seen nothing yet
And there's no doubt about it
You're the best thing that's happened to me
No doubt about it
Cause I'm right where I wanna be
No doubt about it
You're the best thing that's happened to me
There's no doubt about it
Girl, I'm right where I wanna be
The lyrics to Paul Carrack's song "No Doubt About it" tell the story of a person who used to be superstitious and always searching for signs, but through love, they have found their place in life. The first verse describes the old habits of the person, always crossing their fingers and searching for something, but they eventually realize that they were wasting their time. The second verse goes on to talk about how the person has finally found love and is happy with where they are in their life.
The chorus repeats the refrain "there's no doubt about it" to emphasize the certainty and satisfaction the person feels about their new life with their partner. The bridge talks about how the person used to be under pressure and stressed out, but their partner has taught them to live in the moment and enjoy life.
Overall, the song is a celebration of love and finding one's place in life. Through the lyrics, it shows how love can help people find happiness, let go of old habits, and embrace a new, brighter future.
