Wonderful Christmastime
Paul McCartney Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The mood is right
The spirits up
We're here tonight
And that's enough

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
The party's on
The feeling's here
That only comes
This time of year

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The choir of children sing their song
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding ooh ooh
Do-do, do-do, do-do, do

We're simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The word is out
About the town
So lift a glass
Oh and don't look down

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The choir of children sing their song
They practiced all year long
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong (dong)
Ding dong, ding dong (dong)
Ding dong, dong dong

The party's on
The spirits up
We're here tonight
And that's enough (ohh)

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
We're simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The mood is right
The spirits up
We're here tonight
Oh and that's enough (yeah)

We're simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

Oh, oh, oh, oh

Oh, oh, oh
Wonderful Christmastime (Christmas)

@@Uetti ZzzZzzz. Lame attempt to be funny.

So the man who joined Beatles "in an already set up affair" ("Sir Pauls" OWN words ON camera) with a different skullshape, height, eyecolours, personality, musical abilities, different accent, who hinted Shea Stadium was "Before my time" is the real James Paul McCartney ?

Jesus christ what you PIA-people are clueless. You do not know official Beatles history, you do not know how James Paul McCartney was as a person.

All you give me is either lame attempts at "comedy", insults or the retarded "Exactly the same!!!" argument.

In your world we "PID/Paul was replaced"-people are "crazies".

That is why it is so fascinating while i have the arguments you only have insults.

That is a sign who is right at the end of the day.

The Who sang already in the 70's about JPM's replacement in a very famous song, yet you PIA-people prefer to live your life with both eyes and ears closed.

"Sir Paul" have hinted ever since 1967 that he is NOT Paul McCartney, yet you never catch on.

So many years ago Lennon told you that JPM was "Yesterday" and William is "Another day".

Why do you fear truth so much ?

Truth is truth and it never changes.

Arguments or nothing at all. Do you think you can beat my arguments with silly "yOu mUst haVe bEen rEplaCed".

Grow up.

@olskzeri2723

@@Uetti The big difference between you and me is that i see this from a logical perspective while you only act on your feelings. It doesn't matter if you want William to be the real Paul McCartney, no insults or "exactly the same!!!" nonsense can save that false narrative you are pushing.

I know, you have your pride. Rather than admitting that maybe, just maybe, it was wrong of you to just take for granted that "Sir Paul" is the real James Paul Mcartney and not doing your research beforehand you seems to believe by attacking me the world becomes a big safe La la-land where no one ever lies or are trying to hurt you.

But you... are you an adult or are you on the younger side ?

Starting up with a childish joke on your part while engaging with me didn't impress me at all. You either have arguments or you have nothing at all. Jokes are not arguments. Insults are not arguments. The strongest "insult" i use on people are that they are "gullible" or some little sarcasm here and there. But i still make my arguments very clear.

You see i do not do this from an emotional perspective, while i do care about the REAL James Paul McCartney, i still make my points as factual as i possible can.

Nothing i have stated have been disinfo.

The skullshape can not change once grown up. Scientific fact. And while you are stubborn now because "pId iS So CraZy", you know deep down that his eye colour could NOT change from brown to green.

JPM was the same height as Lennon, his replacement towered over Lennon. The "paUl hAd A grOwTh spUrT aT 24 yeArS oF aGe" is a silly claim. Even you must admit that.

None of "Sir Paul's" qoutes was put taken out of context. He said B E A T L E S.

Do yourself a favour and learn how JPM joined the band. "Sir Paul" version goes against official history.

If he told the TRUTH how he joined Beatles then he joined Beatles late 1966 in an already set up affair as Beatles new "Paul McCartney".

I do not care at all if my line of thoughts are too complex for you. The truth is that William (yes, George Harrison did call him WILLIAM ON camera) uses a lot of doublespeak that goes over peoples heads.

Why not be mature about this and at least study PID for 6 months and then make up your mind ? You are incredible naive if you think i suddenly over a night became a PID/Paul was replaced believer. I once upon a time resisted that theory like you do now. But i unlike you took the time to see this from BOTH sides.

The misstake you do is that you cling onto the Paul-is-Alive perspective like your life depended on it. You are too sentimental about this. Follow facts, not feelings is my advice to you.

When i realized that Paul was REPLACED i felt incredible betrayed. But hey life must go on. Truth is truth regardless if we like it or not.

Do not be one of thoose "living is easy with eyes closed people". With internet it is easy to reasearch things if you just take your time to do it.

Be honest, if the truth would ever come out during our lifetime, would you be a man (lets say you are a male) to admit you had been fooled during all thoose years or would you backtrack all your messages to hide the fact that you really believed William was JPM ?

"wiLl yOu bAcktrAck iF yoU aRe wRonG ?!"

I will not backtrack anything. But believe me, i am not afraid of being wrong regarding JPM being replaced. It doesn't stem from smugness or an arrogance from my side, it just comes from the fact that i researched the subject.

If more of you did that you would have caught on everytime "Sir Paul" doublespeaks.

While you take for granted he is the real deal me and many others knows that he have really no idea about the early days. He just makes up stuff as he goes along. Some things he obviously have read and remembers, but like on Letterman when he gets put on the spotlight he really had no clue about Fab Fours performance at the Ed Sullivan Show.

The real JPM would have remembered it.

I would recommend you to study JPM before late 1966 ("Billy Shears" showed up first time in the Kenya movie with Mal Evans and his debut with the Beatles was in december 1966).

If he is "Exactly the same!!!" then you have nothing to worry about.

What are you afraid of...?

Beatles and other groups used "Yesterday" as a codeword for JPM after he was gone.

"Yesterday" was a JPM song.

"Another day" is a William song.

That code from Lennon went over peoples heads, but it was a very smart clue when you think about it.

And study the lyrics of that famous song of The Who. To deny that is about JPM's replacement is just plain silly. The bandmembers in The Who knew the truth and did their own PID-song.

Maybe you should start to realize that the music industry behind the scenes is not a big La la-land where everyone is nice and telling the truth.

Seek truth in Beatles fiction and seek fiction in their truths.

Why did Beatles print out that Lennon said "Oh yesterday" in the lyrics of "All you need is love" when he really says "YES HES DEAD" ?

Instead of getting emotional over reading that, put on earphones and listen yourself. Like why is "Paul" screaming at the end of Sgt Pepper reprise that "PAUL IS REALLY DEAD" ?

Ringo may have "joked" he was the Last Beatle alive but in reality it was not a joke.

Why do you think Ringo pointed out on "Ellen" that he doesn't use "his" accent anymore ?

Who do you think Harrison really weept for in "While My guitars gently weep"...?

Why did the change of chemistry in the band ? Why stop touring ? Why overdub "House of lords" with "Houuuseeeee of Pauuuul" ?

This is where i end my message up to you. I give you this little "guide", but it is up for you to do the work.

If you have a single mature bone in your body you should at least start doing some research. It is mostly free (besides the books).

My advice is too see this from BOTH perspectives. Ask yourself why i once was like you but now is a firm believer in PID.

And this provokes most of you, but i am not wrong over this statement: The reason alot of you give "Sir Paul" a free pass is because you believe he is that charming cute guy that once wrote "Yesterday".

(And no, drugs do not change the skullshape... many of you are incredible naive but with good intentions).

Live well.

We will see what happens when "Sir Paul" dies, but if he ends up being mourned as the real James Paul McCartney the day he dies and you still are in a hypnotised state, then you can count on that me and alot of people will fight that false narrative.

If you are my enemy when that day comes so be it. But do not claim i didn't try to reach out to you.
